2. GENERAL INFORMATION
- 2.1 Why should the Los Santos County Sheriff's Department accept your reinstatement request and why are you reinstating?:
While I recognize my time in the Los Santos Sheriff’s Department was quite long ago, I truly believe there are many reasons why I could be an asset to the department.
One of the reasons I believe the department should accept my reinstatement is that I already understand the expectations and responsibilities that come with the role, along with most of the procedures. I would not be joining as someone completely inexperienced. I have prior knowledge of radio communication, suspect processing, traffic stops, report writing, scene management and much more.
Another reason is that I like to think of myself as someone who is easy to talk to. I find that in this day and age, a healthy relationship between law enforcement and the public is so crucial for a productive society. I truly believe that I can help make people see law enforcement officers in a better light.
Since leaving the department, I have had plenty of time to reflect on my past experiences within law enforcement. I took pride in being a Sheriff’s Deputy. It allowed me to be a part of a team which I could be proud of. It is something I truly miss and I know that if accepted, I can make a difference.
Lastly, I would like to mention some of the things I did during my first tenure as a Los Santos County Sheriff’s Deputy. I was one of the first transfers that came from the LSPD when LSSD was started. During my time as a sheriff’s deputy, I reached the rank of Deputy Sheriff III. I was one of the air unit leads and wrote the entire first edition of the LSSD flight manual myself. I also became an application handler. This allowed me to get some insight into the administrative side of law enforcement.
While I understand this was a long time ago, I truly believe I would be able to get back into the swing of things quite quickly.
2.2 What have you done since your resignation or termination ((including other factions))?:
Since leaving the Los Santos Sheriff’s Department, I have taken time away from the city to care for some sick family who reside in North Yankton. Family has always been important to me, and at that time especially, it was necessary for me to prioritize them before attempting to return to law enforcement.
During this time, I made friends with members of the North Yankton Police Department. While I was unable to join due to my prior obligations, I did regularly participate in ride-alongs when my schedule permitted (albeit with crutches.) This allowed me to keep my mind sharp and mitigate some of the inevitable rust should I be reinstated into the LSSD.
Lastly, since returning to the city, I have been attempting to learn as much as possible about the policing changes that have occurred in Los Santos. While it does seem much has changed, I believe that should I be reinstated, I will have a good grasp of things.
((I have not been a part of any other factions on my Connor Douglas character. I spent the past few years on a different character named Jackson Price. On this character, I have been a part of many factions including: LSC, Benny’s, Bayview, Salvation & Rooks.))
2.3 Was your employment terminated?:
Yes.
2.4 If yes, please explain why you were terminated on your own terms and the events leading up to your termination:
I would like to acknowledge my previous reinstatement attempt to the Los Santos County Sheriff's Department. On November 19th, 2019, I was reinstated into the department. Due to completely unforeseen circumstances, including health problems with myself and family, I left the city of Los Santos for North Yankton (which is where my family resides) without first informing the Sheriff’s Department. I was then dishonorably discharged from the department on December 12th of the same year.
While I do view this as a deep regret in many ways, it simply was the hardest time I’ve experienced in life. My mother fell severely ill and my father suffered a car accident. While this was happening, I tore ligaments in both my knees and was on crutches trying to take care of my parents. I was in no position to continue my duties as a Sheriff’s Deputy, but that being said, I am incredibly sad that I did not reach out and resign. I cannot tell you why exactly I didn’t, I just was so overwhelmed with the current events that it was the last thing on my mind.
((I had some severe struggles personally with my family right after I was reinstated. I won’t go into details, but eclipse was completely put on the back burner for me until I sorted out what was going on. It all happened very quickly and I didn’t get back onto my computer playing games again until around six months after I was terminated, where I then joined the LSPD.))
