- The Chief's Distinguished Skill and Service Medal is the highest form of honor and recognition that can be bestowed upon an Officer of the Los Santos Police Department. Awarded only by the Chief of Police, this award is bestowed upon Officers who were deemed to have demonstrated extraordinary bravery or heroism in the field, or extraordinary skill in individual acts.

- The Staff Officer Recognition and Excellence Medal is a high form of honor and recognition that can be bestowed upon Officers of the Los Santos Police Department when the excellence of their duties, completion of their tasks, or general efforts are recognized by Staff Officers.

- The Los Santos Police Department's Medal of Valor is the highest law enforcement medal awarded to officers by the Los Santos Police Department. The Medal of Valor is an award for bravery, usually awarded to officers for individual acts of extraordinary bravery or heroism performed in the line of duty at extreme and life-threatening personal risk.

- The Preservation of Life Medal may be awarded to an officer who has distinguished himself or herself by employing exceptional tactics and exercising sound judgment, beyond the normal demands of duty, to preserve the life of another during a volatile or dangerous encounter while protecting the safety and security of the public and his or her fellow officers.

- The Liberty Award is presented and awarded to officers who exemplify the highest standards of ethical policing, and demonstrate unwavering integrity, moral courage, and accountability, and recognizes those who uphold the rule of law with fairness, impartiality, and commitment to ethical conduct.

- The Police Medal is an award for bravery, usually awarded to officers for individual acts of heroism in the line of duty, though not above and beyond the call of duty, as is required for the Medal of Valor.

- The Police Star is an award for bravery, usually awarded to officers for performing with exceptional judgment and/or utilizing skillful tactics in order to defuse dangerous and stressful situations.

- The Police Life Saving Medal is an award for bravery, usually awarded to officers for taking action in order to rescue or attempt the rescue of either a fellow officer or any person from imminent danger.

- The Chief's Unit Citation is the Department's highest unit award and may be awarded to an organizational unit of the Department for bravery or outstanding service by its members functioning as a team by the Chief of Police.

- The Police Meritorious Unit Citation may be awarded to an organizational unit of the Department for bravery or outstanding service by its members functioning as a team, but to a lesser degree than required for the Chief's Unit Citation.

- Given to any LSPD officer who was present and involved in the law enforcement response to the terrorist attack on the Palmer Taylor power plant, resulting in a large-scale state-wide blackout.

- Given to any LSPD officer who partook in Operation Vigil, an impromptu response to a large-scale threat to the government, and a subsequent operation to locate and determine the safety of specific individuals across the State, as directed by the Chief of Police.

- Given to any LSPD officer who was present and involved in a large-scale threat to the government and its judicial branch, with heavily armored and armed hostiles at City Hall targeting a prosecuting attorney, and brought the situation to a conclusion.

- Given to any LSPD officer who partook in Operation Kutte Throat, a response to a large-scale threat to the government and law enforcement within the State of San Andreas, defending the State and its law enforcement agencies from a coordinated assault by three separate criminal organizations.

- Given to any LSPD officer who partook in a high-risk, high-intensity incident, later dubbed "Operation Neon Trap", where a cross-departmental response was initiated following an ambush against law enforcement inside the Colorful Parking complex.
LSPD Awards for Service

- The Los Santos Police Command Distinguished Service Medal is bestowed upon command team members for continual determination and success after serving in the command team for a prolonged period of time.

- The Distinguished Service Medal is bestowed upon Officers who distinguish themselves by exceptionally meritorious service to the City of Los Santos in a duty of great responsibility. To justify this decoration, exceptional performance of duty must be clearly above what is normally expected and contributes to the success of a major command or project.

- The Meritorious Service Medal is bestowed upon Officers who have performed noteworthy service in any capacity with the Los Santos Police Department. Qualifying service for the award of the medal can be for distinctive meritorious achievement and service, acts of courage involving no voluntary risk of life, or sustained meritorious performance of duty.

- The Meritorious Leadership Medal is bestowed upon Officers who have performed noteworthy service in any capacity with the Los Santos Police Department in the leadership of other Los Santos Police Officers. Meritorious service or achievement in either dangerous & stressful field situations or administrative non-field situations based on sustained performance or specific achievement of a superlative nature.

- The Community Policing Medal is bestowed upon Officers who continuously show "honorable and faithful service" to the City of Los Santos. Such service implies the officer distinguishes himself/herself from among his/her fellow officers by their exemplary conduct, efficiency, and fidelity.

- The Los Santos Police Public Service Medal is bestowed upon Officers that perform a great public service.

- The Purple Heart is awarded to members of the department who are significantly injured or killed on duty.

- The Officer of the Month Award is bestowed upon an exemplary Officer selected by the Police Supervisors and Command Staff of the Los Santos Police Department each month.

- The Supervisor of the Month Award is bestowed upon an exemplary Supervisor selected by the Police Officers and Command Staff of the Los Santos Police Department periodically.

- Awarded to those who have become a Staff Officer in the Los Santos Police Department.

- Awarded to those who have become a Command Officer in the Los Santos Police Department.

- Awarded to those who have become a member of the Supervisory Staff after having successfully passed their Sergeant Training Program.

- Awarded to those who have become a member of the Detective Team after having successfully passed their Detective Training Program.

- This ribbon is handed out to those who have successfully passed their Field Training Program and have been inducted as a Police Officer.
