LSPD Awards for Bravery

Medal of Valor

The Los Santos Police Department's Medal of Valor is the highest law enforcement medal awarded to officers by the Los Santos Police Department. The Medal of Valor is an award for bravery, usually awarded to officers for individual acts of extraordinary bravery or heroism performed in the line of duty at extreme and life-threatening personal risk.

Liberty Award

The Liberty Award is a bravery medal where the police partner was killed and he was seriously injured in the line of duty.

Medal for Heroism

The Police Medal is an award for bravery, usually awarded to officers for individual acts of heroism in the line of duty, though not above and beyond the call of duty, as is required for the Medal of Valor.

Police Star

The Police Star is an award for bravery, usually awarded to officers for performing with exceptional judgment and/or utilizing skillful tactics in order to defuse dangerous and stressful situations.

Life-Saving Award

The Police Life-Saving Medal is an award for bravery, usually awarded to officers for taking action in order to rescue or attempt the rescue of either a fellow officer or any person from imminent danger.

Commissioner's Distinguished Skill and Service Award

The Los Santos Police Department's Commissioner's Distinguished Skill and Service Award is the highest form of recognition an officer can receive from the Commissioner's Office. The award is usually awarded to officers who demonstrate extraordinary bravery or heroism in the field, or extraordinary skill in individual acts.

Command Distinguished Service Award

The Los Santos Police Command Distinguished Service Medal is bestowed upon command team members for continual determination and success after serving in the command team for a prolonged period of time.

Distinguished Service Award

Meritorious Service Award

The Meritorious Service Medal is bestowed upon members of the LSPD who have performed noteworthy service in any capacity with the Los Santos Police Department. Qualifying service for the award of the medal can be for distinctive meritorious achievement and service, acts of courage involving no voluntary risk of life, or sustained meritorious performance of duty.

Meritorious Leadership

The Meritorious Leadership Medal is bestowed upon members of the LSPD who have performed noteworthy service in any capacity with the Los Santos Police Department in the leadership of LSPD's officers. Meritorious service or achievement in either dangerous & stressful field situations or administrative non field situations based on sustained performance or specific achievement of a superlative nature.

Community Policing Award

The Community Policing Medal is bestowed upon officers of the LSPD who continuously show "honorable and faithful service" to the City of Los Santos. Such service implies the officer distinguishes himself/herself from among his/her fellow officers by their exemplary conduct, efficiency, and fidelity.

Public Service Award

The Los Santos Police Public Service Medal is bestowed upon officers of the LSPD that perform a great public service.

Purple Heart

The Purple Heart is awarded to members of the department who are significantly injured or killed on duty.

Officer of the Month

Given to an exemplary officer each month.

Supervisor of the Month

Given to an exemplary supervisor each month.

High Command Ribbon

Awarded to those who have become a member of the High Command Staff of the Los Santos Police Department.

Command Ribbon

Awarded to those who have become a member of the Command Staff of the Los Santos Police Department.

Supervisor Ribbon

Awarded to those who have become a member of the Supervisory Staff after having successfully passed their Sergeant Training Program.

Detective Ribbon

Awarded to those who have become a member of the Detective Team after having successfully passed their Detective Training Program.

Detective Recognition Award

Awarded to those who show exemplary conduct whilst performing divisional duties for the Investigations Bureau.

Exemplerary Field Training Officer Commendation Award

Awarded to those who have shown exemplary effort with the Field Training Program, consistently keeping up with offcers who require their training and doing so at a very high standard.

Field Training Officer Ribbon

Awarded to those who have served as a Field Training Officer and conducted a total of 20 field training sessions.

Completion of Field Training Award

This ribbon is handed out to those who have successfully passed their Field Training Program and have been inducted as a Police Officer.

Administration Commendation Award

Awarded to those who have shown exemplary effort with administrative work in the Department, either with optional paperwork or divisional paperwork.

Internal Affairs Ribbon

Awarded to those who have served as a member of the Internal Affairs Division for a total of 2 months.

Media Relations Commendation Award

Awarded to those who have shown exemplary effort with the Media Relations Division, helping organize events and consistently assisting with any of the roles required within the division.

Media Relations Ribbon

Awarded to those who have served as a member of the Media Relations Division for a total of 2 months.

Exemplary Instructor Commendation Award

Awarded to those who have shown exemplary effort with either the Academy or Advanced Training Division, consistently ensuring the smooth transition of all the officers involved.

Basic Police Training Ribbon

Awarded to those who have served as an Instructor in the Basic Training Division for a total of 2 months.

Advanced Police Training Ribbon

Awarded to those who have served as an Instructor in the Advanced Training Division for a total of 2 months and have contributed toward 10 group sessions.

Human Resources Ribbon

Awarded to those who have served as a member of the Human Resources Division for a total of 2 months.

Firearms & Licensing Ribbon

Recruitment & Employment Ribbon

Awarded to those who have served as a member of the Recruitment & Employment Division for a total of 2 months.

Detective Support & VICE Ribbon

Awarded to those who has served as a member of Detective Support & VICE Division for a total of 2 months.

Robbery & Homicide Ribbon

Awarded to those who have served as a member of the Robbery & Homicide Division for a total of 2 months.

Gangs & Narcotics Ribbon

Awarded to those who have served as a member of the Gangs & Narcotics Division for a total of 2 months.

Special Weapons & Tactics Ribbon

Awarded to those who have served as a member of the Special Weapons & Tactics Division for a total of 2 months.

Air Support Ribbon

Awarded to those who have achieved the position of 'Pilot' and served as a member of the Air Support Division for a total of 2 months with 30 flight hours logged.

Traffic Enforcement Ribbon

Awarded to those who have served as a member of the Traffic Enforcement Division for a total of 2 months.

3 Months Service Award

Awarded to those who have served the Los Santos Police Department for a total of 3 months.

6 Months Service Award

Awarded to those who have served the Los Santos Police Department for a total of 6 months.

DOC Awards

High Command Ribbon

This award is given to those who are apart of the High Command team at the SADOC.

Low Command Ribbon

This award is given to those who are apart of the Low/Divisional Command team of the SADOC.

Senior Correctional Officer Ribbon

This award is given to those who have achieved the rank of Senior Correctional Officer & show extreme leadership and promise.

Supervisor Ribbon

This award is given to those who have achieved the rank of Sergeant at the SADOC and show leadership, bravery and a true heart for what is best for the SADOC.

Internal Affairs Ribbon

This award is given to those who have served in the Internal Affairs Department for 2 months.

Human Resources Ribbon

This award is given to those who have completed 5 interviews and participated in 10 academies at the SADOC.

Correctional Emergency Response Team Ribbon

This is awarded to those who have been apart of the Correctional Emergency Response Team for 2 months.

Correctional Medical Team Ribbon

This award is issued to a member of CMT who has participated in the treatment of 10 inmates.

General Field Operations RIbbon

This is awarded to those who have shown great leadership, conducted 10 training exercises and been apart of General Field Operations for at least 2 months.

1 Month Service

This is awarded to those who have been at the DOC for at least 1 month.

3 Months Service

This is awarded to those who have been at the DOC for at least 3 months.

6 Months Service

This is awarded to those who have been at the DOC for at least 6 months.

9 Months Service

This is awarded to those who have been at the DOC for at least 9 months.

1 Year of Service

This is awarded to those who have been at the DOC for at least 1 year.

Exemplary Instructor

This award is given out to a member of Human Resources who has completed 15 academies at the SADOC.

Administrative Award

This award is given out to an Officer who has shown excellent work doing administrative paperwork either for the Department or their respective Division.

Psych Team

This is awarded to an officer who demonstrates courageous and compassionate care.

Purple Heart

This award is given to someone who was severely injured or killed while on duty.

Employee of the Week

This is awarded to those who have received employee of the week.

Employee of the Month

This is awarded to those who have received employee of the month.

The Bleeding Heart

Awarded to an individual that has shown great performance under high stress. Awarding could be for, but not limited to, saving the life of another officer, defusing a hostage situation, or preventing a prison break.

The Golden Guide

Awarded to any CERT Member for teaching 5+ other individuals any non-pistol weapon certification.

The Silver Sights

Awarded to any CERT Member for finishing qualification with all DOC Weaponry, and scoring "Elite Operative" on Marksman Rifle Qualification

LSSD Awards

Sheriff's Medal of Honour

The Sheriff's Medal of Honour is awarded by the Sheriff himself to Deputies for their actions and deeds that go beyond the call of duty to preserve the lives of deputies and civilians, putting others and their needs before themselves.

Medal of Valor

The Medal of Valor is awarded to Sheriff's Deputies which have portrayed meritious acts of bravery during their service. It is awarded by the Sheriff.

Excellent Service Award

Awarded by Executive Staff to Deputies which have excelled at their service or task.

Deputy of the Month Award

Awarded to Deputies which have been awarded the Deputy of the Month award.

Executive Staff Ribbon

The Executive Staff Ribbon is given upon promotion into the Los Santos County Sheriff's Department Executive Staff.

Command Ribbon

The Command Ribbon is given upon promotion into the Los Santos County Sheriff's Command.

Supervisory Ribbon

The Supervisory Ribbon is given upon completion of the Sergeant Training Program and promotion in a Supervisory position..

Divisional Command Ribbon

This Ribbon is awarded to Deputies who have been promoted into either the CO or ACO position of a division.

Special Enforcement Detail Ribbon

This ribbon is awarded to members of the Special Enforcement Detail.

Air Support Ribbon

This ribbon is awarded to members of the Air Support Division.

Field Training Division Ribbon

This ribbon is awarded to members of the Field Training Division.

This ribbon is awarded to instructors of the Advanced Training Division.
