• LSSD TEACHES PUBLIC HOW TO SKYDIVE AT SUMMER FEST

• Blaine County: The Los Santos County Sheriff's Department is proud to announce its participation in this year’s Summer Fest on the Los Santos pier. This year, the department organized a rare and thrilling activity for civilians to enjoy - skydiving.
  
  As always, the Los Santos County Sheriff's Department took part in the public Summer Fest event, organized by the Los Santos State Government on Vespucci Pier. Each year, the department strives to bring something new and exciting to the public. This year, the ideal location allowed civilians to experience tandem skydiving under the supervision of a trained SEB operator, ensuring everyone's safety.

  After the event began, a long line formed with many civilians eager to parachute from a helicopter. Deputies organized participants into small groups of three or four, checked their IDs, and logged their names to prevent any potential parachute theft. Staff Sergeant Clay Thompson then led the groups to the helipad at the end of the pier.
  
  Sergeant Thompson assisted each participant in gearing up and provided a thorough safety briefing on proper parachute use. Once ready, the group boarded an Annihilator helicopter, which ascended to approximately 3,000 feet above the sea. After receiving the green light from the pilot, participants leapt from the aircraft and parachuted toward the water, where deputies were stationed in a boat to transport them safely back to the pier.
  
  Conclusion
  We are proud to report that more than 20 civilians had the chance to experience skydiving. Thanks to our deputies’ focus on safety, there were no injuries. We’re always happy to offer the public a chance to take part in unique experiences, and we extend our sincere thanks to all participants.
