- Two Arrested in Connection with Sheriff's Deputies' Murders, Gang Violence Investigated
- Blaine County: In late November 2024, following the arrest of a suspect, an Investigator found two polaroid pictures in the glovebox of the vehicle showing two Special Enforcement Operators and one Field Deputy deceased with two gang members from "Only The Family" posing proudly in front of them.
The Sheriff's Investigation Bureau launched a large investigation including members from the Gangs and Narcotics Division. The first suspect, Anakin Bringer was identified quickly. Our Investigator worked around the clock to gather enough information and evidence to later identify Klaus Derose as the second suspect. Both suspects were apprehended and charged with SF02 - Murder of a Gov. Employee.
Investigator Louise Hoffman, the Lead Investigator on this case, says that the quick conclusion of this case was not only because of the work my fellow Investigators, but the large amount of administrative paperwork gathered by all field staff. This includes, but not limits to previous arrest report, traffic stop reports and gang incident reports.
Violence will never be tolerated, and especially against the ones who has sworn their life to protect and serve the community. We will work around the clock to bring justice to the affected and to ensure that all crimes are paid for.
