• 3.1) Why are you interested in becoming the Chief Public Defender? How would this role align with your long-term career goals? (100 word minimum)
  • I have had becoming a dream and goal since i started at JB i have dreamth of becoming it and working it for a long while and then moving over to a court clark and becoming a Judge as i feel this would be nice. I am also a person who wants to make the divivison great and show them how to do things and update different things that need to be updated. I have taking up the mantal while there is no one and i believe i have shown what i can do and how well i can do it. I have handed out cases, i am on a case and i do a lot for defense to keep us a float.
  3.2) As Chief Public Defender, you will oversee complex cases and manage a team. How would you handle the responsibility of guiding and training junior defenders? (75 word minimum)
  • I have been doing that even when Izaak was chief as he would ask me to show them how to suppress things how to make formats, etc. I have a definetly one to one kind of learning skill i can teach on a 1 - 1 bases as i believe this is the best way because they don't feel nervous when its a group i am always a reasurring person who is there for everyone and when someone needs to be shown something i step up and do it the same way i did when izaak resigned.

  • When dealing with a conflict like i have done before when the past chief made me feel like he was gonna train me in being primary and ended up making a whole joke about it. I had stayed until it was over and walked away to compose myself and deal with it in a private way. Many things have happened between me and him and i have never once snapped as i have learned to control my anger when people annoy me i tend to walk to the side and if it is still annoying me i would bring it up to a higher up or speak to the person directly.

  • My paperwork skills are great and i can also communicate very well between people. My skills of being able to assign stuff to people is also great, I know when i need to pull someone on something and when to be firm and when not to be. These are my qualities and skills many people within the defense division can tell you i am a nice person who is always checking up and making sure they don't get bored on shift.

  • Yes i am currently trying to help out while we find a new person for the defense division for chief.
  3.6) Do you have any ideas or plans for the Public Defense Division upon successful hire and could you share them below?
  • I would like to make Public Defense great again at the moment i see many things that need to be added like how to make a suppression how to analyse evidence ETC. I would make a training within the division to show people i also want to add more things for defense attorneys to give them things to do.
