INTRODUCTION
With June being Pride Month, the LSEMS wishes to bring attention to the progressive research that our team within the Advanced Medical Unit has worked on. Doctor Hera Onassis has created a research paper on the Reception of Oocytes (ROPA) method.

With the newly discovered research, the desire to create a family can turn into reality for many biologically female same-sex couples. The new method allows both mothers to take an active part in the biological process of creating offspring, with both of them being recognized as legal guardians of the child at birth. Last but not least, the method can be available even for a female who would not be able to take part in the process of creating a new life otherwise, for example in the case of impaired ovarian functions.
      ADVANTAGES
      • Both mothers take an active part in the procreation
      • Both mothers are considered legal guardians of the child at birth
      • Available to females with impaired ability to produce offspring
      • Success rate of 80%
      PROCESS
The Reception of Oocytes (ROPA) is a type of in vitro fertilization (IVF) method requiring a donor sperm selected from a carefully screened Sperm Donation Center. The selection ensures that the DNA is completely compatible with both mothers’ DNA to ensure the highest possible success of delivery. We also check through the registry alongside both parents, looking at the anonymous donor’s personality traits and consulting them with both mothers prior to making the choice.

We induce a process within the oocyte donor to produce and harvest a large quantity of eggs, and with careful selection, pick which egg has the highest chance for success. The remainder of the eggs will then be frozen for use at a later period. The process takes between 8 to 12 weeks, requiring doctor appointments, and temporary hormone therapy to sync the cycles of both mothers. This allows for the highest levels of compatibility during the IVF procedure.
          CONCLUSION
With everything researched, we are proud to announce that we can now offer this level of family planning to the citizens of San Andreas. It is thanks to the members of the LSEMS’ hard work that we are able to constantly broaden the scope of our services through constant research.
