Hello, my name is Dante Buchanan! I was born in Scotland, where I spent the majority of my childhood. I worked in various finance companies before eventually migrating to North Yankton. I was proud to receive my US citizenship, which allowed me to make the career change into the Public Relations Bureau of the North Yankton State Government. My life was uprooted at the loss of my son, who died in the line of duty whilst working for the NYPD. My marriage dissolved, and I left my position in the NYSG to find structure in my life before finally migrating to the State of San Andreas where I felt I was ready to restart my life and decided to do so by gaining a position similar to my last in the Public Relations Bureau for the San Andreas State Government.

In my personal life, I am a pretty average person. I am a big fan of Burgershot (the food and the location) and it will come as no shock that I also love interacting with people and meeting new friends. I am a big fan of the beach and find the sound of the waves to be one of the most soothing sounds on this planet. I can't overstate the amount of times that the sounds of the ocean has helped calm me when I start to get into the negative mindset on the bad days when I am faced with my grief. My last days/weeks in the San Andreas State Government were largely a struggle for me, and found myself reaching out into new hobbies to help keep me centred. I picked up creating writing, and I hope to eventually write my own autobiography. I also started to try and get back into charity events, which I used to host in North Yankton for family members and officers who lost a loved one in the line of duty. I would love to be able to host some more events like this in my own free time because the law enforcement officers (and their families) are some of the bravest heroes in our planet who help keep our society in order, in conjunction with medics, and judicial members. God bless them all!

2.2 Why do you want to join the San Andreas Department of Corrections, and why do you want to become a CCO? (minimum 50 words)
Every single interaction with the San Andreas Department of Corrections has always been a positive one. They are some of the most welcoming people I have ever met in my life and despite often being marginalized, they are always looking for the positives that can come from situations and events. I continue to be impressed by the department and its structure and its commitment to serving inmates of the state and helping them reform. I think all of these aspects interest me, who wouldn't be interested? I have such a desire to bring positivity to the State of San Andreas and this was extremely limited, as well as stifled, by my pervious employment, but there is no doubt in my mind that the SADOC can allow me to reach out and actually help people in a meaningful way. The possibilities of joining FRD and PR for SADOC excites me! The ability to have a variety of work is a welcome change that I would love to undertake and use to showcase my various skill set that I have.

3. Past Experiences

3.1 Have you ever worked for a government agency or any other Job? If so, which ones and what was your position?
I have previously been employed by the San Andreas State Government and reached the position of Deputy Director for the Public Relations Bureau. My duties included overseeing the other members of the bureau, planning and assisting in internal and external events, overseeing the production of our regular public releases, overseeing the production of our one off public releases, liaising with other departments on various matters, and assisting in cleaning and covering up the weekly scandals that members of the governments perpetuated.

I enjoyed my position greatly, and the largest part I loved was being able to reach out to the community. It's criminal how underappreciated the citizens of our state are and how each one of them, regardless of background, are desperate to improve our state. Peoples want for improvement is what continues to drive me and push me towards SADOC as many people were very fond of it. I think the skill set I brought into this state, as well as refined in my previous position could be largely helpful to the SADOC, especially in your PR department where I could assist greatly (we could make that island event just a bit more cohesive!) or in the FRD where I would love to relate with ex-felons and help them directly get back on track.

I am happy to answer any and every question or concern that my interviewer may have about the circumstances surrounding my departure from my previous employment, thought I hope they appreciate a degree of false narratives and uncertainty that is being pushed by certain parties.
