Questions
Do you have any prior criminal history? If so please explain your charges and what you have learned from them.
I was, unfortunately, taking my dirt bike for a joy ride after a long vacation to travel to the world, when I received a terrible phone call. I had heard that my long-time friend from my travels had very unexpectedly and tragically passed away in a motor vehicle accident. Upon hearing this news I went to the closest ATM I could find to take out money to send a card to his family to show my condolences. However, in my grief-stricken state, I could not remember my PIN. I was filled with grief, and anxiety and overwhelmed with rage that a simple machine was the one thing standing between what I needed to support my friends grieving family. So I had momentary laps of judgment and started beating the machine with the only thing I had on my person at the time which was a crowbar. Currently, I work in construction in the city, so me having those tools is not unusual. My absolute lowest moment is when the police showed up. I did not run, I did not resist, I complied and tried to explain the situation but I knew how bad it looked. I wear a mask to keep the wind and bugs out of my face as well. After explaining to the police my situation, and them seeing I truly did not steal anything, I was given the charges of vandalism as well as wearing a mask. I understand what I did was wrong. I am a good person, I have been around the city for a long time with a clean record and will work each and every day to make up my lowest point. If I learned anything from this experience it would surely be to control my temper and not stress about what I cannot control.

Traits & Motivations
Please provide a short biography about yourself (minimum 100 words):
I am from the ghettos of liberty city, I was raised by both my parents and my older brother. I grew up being surrounded by all sorts of negative influences due to the fact that I grew up in such a poor neighborhood that I had to fight each and every day to make sure I didn't succumb to them. after leaving liberty city in my late teens years I went to Los Santos to obtain my criminal justice bachelor's degree I decided to live in this fine city where I would purchase several houses as well as get married, start a business, and obtain several citizens' licenses. now that the dust has settled I am looking to start a new career involving my criminal justice degree that is not the police department. I hope the SADOC is just the thing I'm looking for.
I plan on putting in a large majority of my time and energy and turning this truly into a career. It would be where I spent the majority of my time as well as investing the majority of my energy to ensure I am able to climb the ranks and be the best CO I can be.
I want to join the SADOC because I have always had a great deal of interest in law enforcement but due to unfortunate circumstances, I cannot become a police officer. This however does not mean I wouldn't be overjoyed to become a part of the SADOC. I feel that I have an advantage over other applicants due to my people skills. I have a lifetime of working and dealing with people under my belt. I can read people and tell if they are good, or lying, and am an excellent judge of character. I know when people just need to be heard and feel respected, or when people need a firmer hand approach. These are all attributes that I believe would equate to being an exceptional corrections officer and give me an edge over the competition.
Handling pressure or stressful situations is where I thrive the most. Often times its the smaller more menial stress that will drive me crazy. When dealing with life or death level stress however this will often put me into an even more than normal sense of focus and calm when people around me may be freaking out. This will help me find a quick and efficient solution to whatever situation is currently going on.
Qualifications and traits that I possess that may assist SADOC are both my people skills as well as my drive to want to improve the department. I have had a history of working with people for my entire life as stated above. and knowing how to understand a person would be the first step in being able to create a positive relationship with them. I think a CO having positive relationships with not only his co-workers and leaders but also with the Inmates would be absolutely critical. People who feel respected and heard are less dangerous. These skills I would not only bring these for myself but also show them to my co-workers to try to create an overall better atmosphere for everyone under the prison roof.

Past Experiences
No. But I do have my gun license currently and am certified in using both the standard pistol as well as a combat pistol.
No
Yes, I have tons of experience working with a team, if it's not my sales team at my current job, it's the construction crew I moonlight with for extra cash. Teamwork in any role can be critical for success but in this position, it can mean life or death. I would take all the team skills I have learned and transfer them over here to ensure that I would have positive and meaningful relationships with all my co-workers.
