Traits & Motivations
Please provide a short biography about yourself (minimum 100 words):
My name is Lukas Shane. I am almost 25 years old and have lived in Los Santos for a few months now. I was originally born and raised in New York City, New York in the United States. I was raised by a single father, John, alongside my younger sister, Stacy. Stacy is only a few years younger than me so we were very close growing up. My father was a mechanic and worked out of our home garage. He did repairs for people in our neighborhood. Somehow this was always enough to put food on the table. My father raised us alone due to my mom being incarcerated when I was about 8 years old. I do not remember much but my dad said she was into drugs and had started hanging out with the wrong people. I have not seen her since. My mom being incarcerated has really motivated me to help people. I do not like seeing people ruin their lives like she did. My goal is to become a corrections officer so I can help with the rehabilitation of inmates. These people need our help to get better and live a better life once they are released from prison. My father recently passed away which is why I moved to Los Santos. I wasn’t able to make a difference in New York but I am hoping I can make one here.
I plan to dedicate as much time as I can towards the department. Outside of the city, I work two jobs during the week so most of my time in the city is on the weekends.
I believe you should hire me over other applicants because I am hard working, dedicated, and patient. I also have a real passion for this area of work due to my past with my mother. I have seen first hand how the corrections system works. Although I do not know what the environment is like in this specific department of San Andreas, I would like to implement new programs and initiatives to make it better. We could start a GED program so that inmates can earn their high school diploma while incarcerated. We can also start morale boosting activities such as workout classes so that the gym equipment we have is actually being used. Incorporating these programs could help the inmates create a sense of themselves that they wouldn’t have otherwise.
I handle pressure and stressful situations well. When faced with a stressful situation I like to take a step back, analyze the problem, and go forward from there. I do not make rash decisions without thinking first.
Although I do not have any special qualifications, I do feel as though I possess traits that can be an asset to the corrections department. For one, I am patient. This is something that will be very helpful in working with inmates. They may try to get under my skin or agitate me but I will always remain calm and collected. With that being said, I will also show the inmates that I am human just like them and try to develop positive relationships with them while staying professional.

As stated on the forums, it is used to describe an active roleplay scenario accurately, and truthfully. For example, /do His face would be covered in sweat from chasing the inmate around the yard.
