  • There was never an intention to leave the career that I love. Family matters required immediate attention and I left the state as I was torn morally between my livelihood and the ones I hold most dear.
    
    As an individual who lives and breathes law, it was inevitable that I would attempt to return to the department when I was fit and able. I appreciate the patience of the department and wish to assure them that I do not believe a repeat of my inactivity would occur.
    
    I submit to the department that I was fastidious, hard working and generally very engaged in the cases I worked on before my period of absence. The department should expect nothing less than dedicated and top-level representation should it choose to reinstate my previous position.
    
    During my period at the department it is my understanding that I was not subject to any formal action other than for inactivity.

    As I seek to resettle, I will enshroud my life within law and my profession. I don't have much of a work / life balance, so I am eager to return to my passion.
