Date & Time of Incident(s): 12/Oct/2024 15:30 UTC
Charge(s):
  • Evading and Face Concealment
Narrative:
I Diesel Bates was in a truck with two friends inside a garage just catching up. I was in the passenger seat of the truck when the driver drove off as I assumed they heard a noise outside, then I realized it was LSPD. The driver stopped not far from the scene and got out of the truck. I then got into the driver seat understanding that LSPD were after her and not myself or my friend in the trunk of the truck as it only had two seats. I did not want to get involved as I had done nothing wrong or illegal and thought it would be safer for myself and my friend to remove ourselves from the situation if things escalated. This was not an attempt to evade as LSPD had sworn I did, this was repositioning so we did not get harmed. This can clearly be seen as I started reversing the truck and when told by the officer with a fully automatic weapon pointed in my direction, "Turn off your engine", I obeyed his orders without attempting to evade or evading like they said as this was never my intention.
I was also in my car which is private property and still given face concealment which I don't understand.
I also want to mention why LSPD were surrounding the building we were in as we were just chatting and secondly how did they know that a wanted person was with me as I only found this out afterwards. I understand I had my phone on but does that mean if anyone that I may be associated with is wanted, LSPD will just send out full forces with automatic firearms invading my privacy to maybe a chance to catch someone whether they know that person is there or not?

I feel I was unfairly charged and sent to prison for just being a bystander.

I, Diesel Bates, hereby affirm that all information provided above is true and correct to the best of my knowledge, and understand that knowingly providing false information could result in additional charges and/or fines. (( I affirm that all information submitted has been obtained via In-Character means. ))

Occupation: Gang Detective, Los Santos Police Department
    Witness Statement
    • I, while operating under my own unit (3-G-12) alongside Officer Cal Pierce, joined in on a warrant hunt for Aki Kurokawa with 15 outstanding charges. LSPD Metro SWAT and DB GND units worked together, finding a possible location on Autopia Parkway.

Units moved in when a dark-in-color Helion left the property, evading as Captain Longford made ourselves known as LSPD. AIR-1 made calls to us on where the vehicle was heading as we began to follow.

AIR-1 called the female as getting out of the vehicle. I arrived slightly late when Diesel Bates was at gunpoint by Captain Longford; however, he was still actively moving the vehicle, attempting to get away. The suspect then began to comply and got out of the vehicle under gunpoint, where he was placed into cuffs.

      Date of Birth: 09/OCT/1995
      Phone Number: 478-4969
Occupation: Police Captain III, Los Santos Police Department
    Witness Statement
    • On October 12th, 2024, Captain Longford joined the Gangs and Narcotics Divison in a Warrant Hunt for Aki Kurokawa, a suspect that had 15 charges not served on their record at the time. This operation was swift, with it developing as follows:

The location of Aki Kurokawa was established and communication to those in the operation. All relevant units staged in a predetermined location, then co-ordinated an approach to the suspect location. Upon arrival to the location, it was determined that Aki Kurokawa was likely in a warehouse on Autopia Parkway. Units dismounted from their vehicles and surrounded the warehouse. Captain Longford identified a garage door that was unlocked and proceeded to open it. Without entering the property, Captain Longford established visual contact on a seemingly twice occupied Hellion, with one of the occupants being a potential match of Aki Kurokawa's last known appearance. Captain Longford, aiming his firearm, ordered the occupants to step out of the vehicle, however, they began to evade police. This vehicle was being driven by Aki Kurokawa.

Approximately 30 seconds later, the driver and the passenger attempted to swap positions within the vehicle, which lead to Aki Kurokawa fleeing on foot, quickly being apprehended by Officers. Captain Longford remained focused on the original passenger of the vehicle, now the driver, as he ordered him to turn the engine off and step out of the vehicle. With some hesitation from the driver in the form of inching the vehicle forward, he eventually complied with Captain Longford's demands to turn the engine off and step out of the vehicle. As the driver's actions were indicative of his willingness to evade Police, he was charged accordingly. The driver, later identified to be Diesel Bates, was wearing a mask during the commission of the described crime.
    Witness Affirmation
    • I, Gareth Longford, affirm that the above statement is true to the best of my knowledge and belief. I affirm that this statement has been made voluntarily, made without promise of reward, and made not under threat, force, or coercion. ((I affirm that all information submitted has been obtained via In-Character means.))

      Phone Number: #5405144
Occupation: Police Officer III, Los Santos Police Department
    Witness Statement
    • I believe the arrest report has all the information to justify the arrest but to better clarify the situation, LSPD was looking for the suspect Aki Kurokawa that had a warrant for her arrest with 15 active charges. Detectives after an investigation arrived at a location that could lead to Aki Kurokawa's arrest. A black Hellion was seen leaving the building and was demanded to stop but the occupants of the vehicle disregarded those demands and started evading. To clarify on Diesel Bates' arrest, he was not the target of the operation but he did flee from police when he was asked to stop. Himself and Aki Kurokawa drove off-road and by the time the ground units caught up, the driver (Aki kurokawa) was out on foot while the passenger (Diesel Bates) was now in the driver seat operating the vehicle. At that point, the now driver made his attempts to escape but after realizing he was mostly surrounded by LSPD, he reversed the vehicle, turned off the engine and surrendered. That is obviously after he already evaded and was made clear to him that he was being pursued by police.

That is for the evading charge, as for the face concealment he was wearing a mask when he was actively trying to evade police.

Superior Court of San Andreas
"EQUAL JUSTICE UNDER LAW"

COURT DECISION

IN THE SUPERIOR COURT OF SAN ANDREAS

State of San Andreas v. Diesel Bates

A decision was reached in the above case on the 11th day of July, 2025.

Due to a lack of response from the defendant in the above case, the case will now be accepting the plea of guilty from the defendant. The defendant was given ample time to interact with the courts and file availability. If any of the dates and times did not align with the schedule of the defendant, they were able to contact the courts stating the like. As little to no contact has been made with the courts in the past 3-4 weeks, this case will now be archived and the charges will remain on the record of the defendant.
