Message from the Branch Administrator
- Citizens of San Andreas,

Branch Administrator Hope Kant
The month of July has brought significant changes to the Judicial Branch, more than the public is typically accustomed to. These advancements have been made possible with the invaluable support of Deputy Branch Administrator Ren Sanchez, Superior Court Justice Antonio McFornell, Acting Attorney General Terence Williams, and Acting Chief Public Defender Izaak Scott. The dedication of these individuals, along with every member of the Branch, have been instrumental in our progress.
Our new Director of Training, Izaak Scott, is always available to assist and educate our students and trainees. Ren Sanchez, our new Director of Public Notary, has made officiant classes more efficient by transforming them into online courses and quizzes, allowing individuals to complete the course at their convenience. Under the leadership of Director Antonio McFornell, the Bar Association has introduced new procedures for license reinstatement, updated licensing regulations, and more.
We are also excited to announce the opening of Bench Trials and the development of a Judge Training Program. With key members returning from leave and new members joining us each day, I am immensely proud to be part of this team. I am eager to see where we will go from here, and I assure you that our journey forward will look to prioritize the interests of the people.

Introducing Bench Trials
- [PRESS RELEASE #31] Judicial Branch Launches Misdemeanor Bench Trials
The Judicial Branch recently announced the launch of a new initiative that was designed to streamline and expedite judicial process for misdemeanor cases, which had it start throughout the end of July and will continue as the next month initiates.
Public Notary Changes
- Officiants License
The process for obtaining an officiant license will transition to a fully online format. This change aims to streamline the process and make it more accessible for all those wishing to obtain a license.
- Online Class and Exam: All those wishing to become officiants will complete the required training completely through an online class. Upon completion, you will be required to pass an exam to ensure that you have a full understanding of the course information.
Form Submission: After completing the online class and passing the exam, you will need to submit a completion form prior to obtaining your license.
License Issuance: Once your form is submitted and processed, your officiant license will be issued electronically.
Updated Contract Authenticity Process
Individuals and businesses can now take advantage of a more streamlined process to handling contracts. The Public Notary Department has introduced a selection of numerous pre-approved contract templates that require only the input of personal information and an e-signature to complete. Once the contract is signed and the filing fee is paid, it will be officially notarized.
Key changes to the contract filing process include:
- Simplified Filing: Our new system allows for easy completion of contracts using pre-approved templates or your own personalized contract - new guidelines show exactly what you need to include. Just fill in your details, sign electronically, and pay the filing fee to have your contract notarized.
Updated Pricing Structure: We have updated our fee structure to offer greater flexibility and value:
Standard Filing Rate for Pre-Approved Contracts: A base fee of $20,000 covers up to 25 contract filings. Each additional filing beyond the initial 25 will incur a fee of $1,000. A standard one time contract filing fee will remain at $5,000.
Partnered Business Rate: For those working with any of our partnered businesses, the base rate is reduced to $10,000 for up to 25 filings, with a subsequent fee of $1,000 for each additional filing. For single filing, the rate will remain at $2,500.
For more information about the new contract filing process or to access pre-approved contract templates, please visit our website or contact the San Andreas Judicial Branch Public Notary Department directly. - Online Class and Exam: All those wishing to become officiants will complete the required training completely through an online class. Upon completion, you will be required to pass an exam to ensure that you have a full understanding of the course information.

Furthermore, we have established new internal divisions and optimized our workflow to better serve the public.
A major highlight of this period is the introduction of Bench Trials for Misdemeanors. This system is expected to expedite proceedings and provide swifter justice, reflecting our commitment to a more efficient judicial process.
These accomplishments are the result of the hard work and dedication of our members, the support of our citizens, the engagement of media outlets, and the collaboration with the State Government.
