In the State of San Andreas, you must have a valid Bar License in order to practice law - this can include but is not limited to, giving legal advice, representing clients, and filing lawsuits on behalf of another person. The San Andreas Bar Association has created a procedure that allows aspiring attorneys to become licensed to practice the law within the State.
This document contains all the regulations regarding the different alterations a Bar License can suffer as a result of changes in the legal standing of the license holder.

Bar License Inactivation
Those who wish to pursue a career in public service, and particularly in the State Judiciary, will have their Bar Licenses inactivated during the term of their employment. Upon leaving their position in the Judiciary, their license will be reinstated. Attorneys who had their license re-activated may not participate in cases which they presided as a judge or assisted as Clerks.
Bar License Suspension
Bar Licensed attorneys may be suspended for the commission of misdeameanors, violation of the Code of Ethics or as a result of a Bar Ethics Review Board investigation. Attorneys may not practice law during the time in which they are suspended, and the license will be automatically reinstated once the suspension period is over.
Suspensions issued during the course, or as a result, of a Bar Ethics Review Board investigation are not subject to appeals.
Note: The following misdeamenor charges will be followed with an automatic suspension for the amount of 7 days. However, those who committ repetitive offenses may be subject to increased suspension times or Bar License Revocation.
Bar License Revocation - Failure to pay Attorney Dues
Bar-licensed attorneys who have had their license revoked due to a failure to pay their dues can request their license be reinstated by replying to their own Attorney File with the Bar Membership Dues receipt that is within the Attorney File itself. Once the receipt has been submitted, please email any Bar Association Staff or the Chief Justice to have your Attorney File moved to the correct section.
Bar License Revocation
Bar-licensed attorneys who receive a felony or any of the specific misdemeanors listed in this section after obtaining their license will have their licenses revoked indefinitely. They will be able to apply for the reinstatement of their Bar License if they meet any of these requirements:
Note: Anyone who is charged for any of the following Felonies will be unable to request the reinstatement of their Bar License, unless otherwise determined by the Director of the San Andreas Bar Association and Bar Ethics Review Board.
