• 3.1) Why are you seeking employment with the San Andreas Judicial Branch? (200 word minimum)
  • I am seeking employment because I want to further my knowledge and practice with the legal system. After passing my Bar Exam I find that the best way from me to fundamentally understand how court proceedings work is to do the job and gain experience on the ins and out of our legal system. After having a conversation with Hope, I believe that the best place for me if I were to obtain the position would be on defense since I would like to bring my work ethic and dedication to the job and offer my time as a public servant to people who are desperate for quality legal representation. After working at City Hall, I notice day in and day out how much work the Judicial Branch asks of its member and it intrigues me to see the difference that each attorney make everyday. With the recent changes, I believe that my drive and willingness to learn will transfer into the branch well and as I grow my understanding, so will grow my contributions to the branch. I have taken it upon myself to begin to read a few of the court documents that are on-going which just makes me want to understand why and how decisions come to be.

  • My name is Jonny Tung, and I am originally from Hanoi. I was born to Gini Tung and Frank Tung out of wedlock, a product of my father's infidelity. Though I only heard stories of my father I never met him. My mother raised me by herself with the help of my grandmother. Since a young age, I've had to overcome the obstacles laid out for me by working hard and showing my dedication and work ethic. Leading me all the way up to my graduation from the Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City and making enough for my mother to retire at a good age. Living in Hanoi I experienced a lot of financial crimes as my country was still recovery from the waves of arrests from the remnant of organized crime syndicate. Bribery and Political Corruption would run rampant and when it came to me, I refused. This lead me to a path of persecution by some of the gang members which led to my mothers unfortunate demise. I was able to seek refuge in Los Santos, vowing that corruption would be something that I would fight against through reform and advocacy.

  • "Curious" is the word I would choose to describe myself. I have the intrinsic desire to continuously learn and grow my knowledge to better my understanding of different perspectives that coincide with different beliefs and points of views. With this comes the unrelenting determination to seek enlightenment in the form of information. This trait, specially in a career which is driven by the uncertainty and ambition of having a fundamental mastery of how to use our legal system to interpret how and why people are punished for their actions, can be an asset to expand the way we critically analyze our laws and how we set the standard of right from wrong.   • Through speaking with members of the Judicial Branch, I found that my interests aligned with the overall job duties and I feel like with my work ethic I would be a great addition to the branch. I have also passed my Bar Exam Independently.
