- Yes, I was convicted of a felony charge on 02/06/2021, which was verified with LSPD on 2/5/2024 (documentation attached: https://ibb.co/20rt3sc). Since that date, for almost three years, I have not even been charged with as much as a misdemeanor (aside from traffic infractions).
- No, I spoke with a representative at City Hall who informed me the mandates for the Law Student program were "clean of felonies for 3 months", this is echoed on the government website. Additionally, I further followed up on the requirements for the bar exam and bar licensing. I was informed the requirements for that were to "not have a warrant for my arrest, all citations paid at time of requesting, and you have been clear of all serious misdemeanors for a minimum of 90 days and felonies for 6 months". While I currently have an application in for the Felon Rehabilitation Program, and fully intend to complete it (knowledge is power, and every bit helps), LSDOC informed me they did not believe it would be required for me to pursue this career.

- 3.1) Why are you seeking employment with the San Andreas Judicial Branch? (200 word minimum)
- I was raised in the extremely tumultuous town of Sandy Shores. I am a reformed felon and Army veteran, attempting to find a renewed sense of purpose. I tragically lost my father recently, who succumbed to chronic injuries he sustained in a violent carjacking and shooting at Stab City. I am seeking a path for meaningful change. I am driven by a deep, personal understanding of the criminal world and the ravages of violence it has brought on Los Santos. I see a career in law as a chance at redemption for myself, and a chance to right the wrongs that have long, and continue, to plague our communities.
- My name is Witt McMulligan and I was born on December 1st, 1990 in Sandy Shores to Hamilton and Rosemary McMulligan (both of Ireland). When I was 18, I enlisted in the Army, desperately seeking any way to escape the violence that surrounded the Shores. It was during my time in the service (June 2, 2012) that my father was the victim of a violent carjacking, and ultimately shooting, that would later take his life. After the shooting my mother struggled to take care of my father, who was left near crippled, and with an extremely altered outlook on life following the shooting. My mother took her own life on July 1, 2013, distraught and with her world shattered. Following my mothers suicide my Father lost all that was left of himself. He became a hollowed shell, not able to feed himself, or do mundane day to day tasks. On August 3rd, 2013 I left the Army and returned to Sandy Shores to be my fathers caretaker. I worked miscellaneous jobs that allowed me to stay in close proximity to him, to attend to his needs. Most recently this included work at McHenry Oil, a small oil broker firm. My father died four months ago, 11/12/2024, and I realized I did not have much of a life set up for myself, I had devoted myself entirely to his care. It was at this point that I decided I needed to pursue what I had been seemingly been drawn to since my fathers incident. My miltary discipline, combined with my intimate knowledge of the streets and knowing first hand the damage they can cause to the most innocent of people, puts me in a unique position to advocate for justice in a system that sometimes turns a blind eye to the nuances of these criminals. Becoming a lawyer to me is not a profession, it is a personal mission. It is a mission to ensure no other family has to endure the pain I have, it is a silent promise I made to both my late father and late mother, to fight the injustices that took them away. My quest in obtaining legal expertise isn't about just upholding the law to me; it is about reshaping it, safeguarding the vulnerable, and challenging the underpinnings of crime and retribution rampant throughout Los Santos.
- Resilient - This word describes my ability to both withstand, and recover, from the challenges life has presented to me. From my fathers traumatic, life changing, end to my own issues I have faced in the past (I wasn't always as smart as I am now, I was a kid once, like everyone else), to the rigors of military service, which shaped me as a person, and now to my pursuit of a demanding legal career, I embody resilience.
- I attended the Job Fair held on Feb 3rd and was provided the guidance needed to pursue this position.

- Yes, I had two warnings and a ban. The ban was back in 23JUN21, and I appealed for and had my ban voided on 02/Mar/22. Since that time I have not had any admin reports, nor have I had an admin report filed (to my knowledge) against me.

- Yes, no AI was used here.
- I have had run ins with the law in the past, but I now have a criminal record devoid of those charges for multiple years. I have learned from my past mistakes (and have also learned the Rules of EclipseRP that led to stumbling blocks and my ultimate ban years ago, when I was new). Please do not allow my record, with clear indications that I have left that past behind (Lack of a criminal record for years, pursuit of filling all perceived requirements to resolve those issues and do what was necessary to pursue a career in law e.g. talking to LSPD to ensure my record was clean, talking with LSDOC about the requirements for cleaning my record, verifying this information with city hall, working the road crew job for three months just to save up enough money for the exam, etc.), to prevent me from pursuing a career and being a contributing member of society.
On a more personal note, Witt's journey has been to show he has an unwavering capacity to adapt and thrive in the face of adversity. He uses his experiences to fuel his determination for justice and change. To quote my answer to the above question, about which word best describes him, Resilience to him is not just about surviving, its about using his trials as a foundation for growth and transformation, which is exactly what this job opportunity represents.
I thank you for the consideration and look forward to hearing from the department.
