I began my employment with the department on Feb 27th of 2020 with only a brief 30 day resignation over new years 2021.
- SECTION 4 - LONG RESPONSE
4.1 Why do you want to be employed with the Judicial Branch? (75 WORDS):- I want to be employed with the Judicial Branch because I have always had a desire to help people and make the community a better place. Obviously being in the Sheriff's Department shows that. Not only my employment there but as well as the divisions I am apart of. I am currently an Agent in the Detention and Parole Bureau. The aim of this division is to assist individuals in transforming themselves back into functioning members of society with the parole program, we take them out of the Department of Corrections while they are at their lowest point and assist them by giving a support system, and all the tools they need to transition, weather that be help with employment, assisting in purchasing a house or vehicle, or even just being someone they can vent their problems to. I feel like being part of this directly expresses my interest and willingness to help the people that need it most. While I understand that the Judicial Branch is a drastically different form of work I sincerely believe that anything you can do in your power to help people, is a noble cause.
- I believe that the most valuable trait I possess is my work ethic, bringing it once again to my employment in the Sheriff's Department. I currently am a member of several divisions, the Field Training Division where I take our our Deputy Sheriff Trainees and teach them how to police using our Field Training Sessions, or Daily Observation Reports. I am also part of the Recruitment and Employment Division and hold the rank of Senior Application Handler, within this division I respond to application, conduct interviews, and lead physical evaluations for our applicants. Furthermore I am a member of the Detention and Parole Bureau, In this division I assist parolees in transforming there lives for the better and conduct undercover surveillance on them to assure they adhere to our parole terms. Lastly I am a member of the Sheriff's Information Division, I am currently a Features Creator within the division. Here I assist in the creation of our monthly newsletter, communicate with Weazel News about information they need for stories relating to a scene or situation, publish Sheriff's Press Releases, and formulate events hosted by the department. I truly enjoy the work I do in these divisions and believe it directly shows my work ethic.
- There is a fair bit of corruption around the city, whether that be in Law Enforcement or other government agencies. I hope to reduce that as much as possible when joining the Judicial Branch. Its tough for me to say as a member of the Sheriff's Department but I notice that there some deputies and officers that have a minimal understanding of the Los Santos Penal Code and what they can actually do and have probable cause to do. This leads to a breach of people constitutional rights and they should be held accountable for the actions that they take, not only by their departments internal affairs but by the courts as well.
- Negative
- Yes, twice actually. Both of which being a Reckless Operation of a Road or Marine vehicle caught by a speed camera. Both charges occurred while I was employed with the Sheriff's Department as a Deputy Sheriff I.
- Yes, only by speed cameras as I have some substantially fast vehicles that I occasionally forget to turn the cruise control on while using.
- My name is Colt Daniels, I am a 22 year old Male born in Los Santos and raised in Sandy Shores. I am currently employed with the Los Santos County Sheriff's Department and have been for the better part of 18 months. I currently hold the position of Agent within the departments Detention and Parole Bureau. As I am a African American I have felt a need to prove myself as a valuable asset to the team and have worked tirelessly to achieve that. During my employment with the Sheriff's Department I have helped many people to overcome adversity, whether that be mental health related, or with professional relationships. I feel it is important that everyone gets a fair chance no matter their race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or creed they follow. While the work I have done in the Sheriff's Department is coming to an end and I hang up my campaign hat, my work to better the community has yet to be finished, and I hope that I get to continue it as a member of the Judicial Branch. I believe I should be selected because I can bring a fresh mindset to the table, a fresh pair of eyes on cases and other work related projects. I believe the experience I have is my most valuable thing I can bring to the Judicial Branch, and am more than ready to get started.

- Yes, I received a warning about NonRP during a police encounter on my criminal character. While being frisked I ran from the deputy and got away, later I was informed that it was NonRP to run while being frisked. The ban on my panel was voided, I was mistakenly banned.
