Traits & Motivations
Please provide a short biography about yourself (minimum 100 words):
After moving from Canada when I was six, I grew up on a rural farm just north of Paleto with my dad and fifty head of sheep. When i was 12, my dad got remarried and I got a new sister and brother! I've always liked the big city and when my sister Charlie moved to stay, I just knew I had to make the same pilgrimage. I see why she likes it so much! I now have a car, a wonderful room-mate and a big house to live in! I also have a dog named Officer Goodboy. I would describe myself as bubbly, polite, a little bit on the cautious side but not afraid to stand up for what I believe in. I love animals. I enjoy helping others with their problems and listening to what they have to say. I wear my heart on my sleeve but I have an attitude that bounces back when I'm down and I try not to let anything get to me!
At minimum a few hours a day, or all day when I can swing it!
I want to join SADOC because I really enjoy working with people through their problems; whether that entails aiding my fellow officers with a dangerous felon or helping an inmate who has lost their way find it again. I have an open mind and heart and a real compassion for those less fortunate than me. I love to listen and am inventive with ways to make my coworkers and maybe even the inmates laugh. I love to learn and am eager to impress, but not afraid to ask questions or call for help. I have been attending ride-alongs with the LSPD to try and desensitize myself and become more familiar with the penal process, as well as get to know my future partners.
I feel like I stand above other candidates because I have not allowed the city to harden me away from my compassion. I also am not taking this job for money; I have all I need. I am looking for this job because I feel a real passion for it. I am also very excited to meet and work for Solomon Cobb, as I read a fascinating news piece in last week's paper. Some of the points in the article described about new reform programs and I feel like that department would be perfect for me, though the other positions available do not make me recoil.
If I can feel pressure mounting, I take a deep breath and count to ten before I make any sort of action, move or reply. My father always taught me that you can't take words or actions back once they're done and it is good to meditate a moment if you are able to. I try to obtain both sides of any story, and see through another's eyes.
If there is no time to breathe, I first call for aid. Having my team with me really helps confidence and their input and experience can sharpen my own. I always try to assure safety first.
If I am alone, I first identify potential threats and then I act on my training or, in life or death, my instincts. They have never ever steered me wrong and I have yet to kill or be killed from them. And yes, I have experienced this in the forest once against a fully grown mountain lion.
I am active, in good physical condition and wrangling sheep for 15 years has taught me that I can overpower people bigger than me by finding their weak points. With sheep, its the horns and legs. With people, it depends on where their center of gravity is.
I am fair and not easily upset by words. I know people might hate me for being in this line of work but I will not take vengeance or make their lives miserable by dehumanizing them without cause, or punishing them for being verbally cranky. I know how to use force to match the situation at hand.
I pride myself on my organization and promptness. Time is important to me and I value the time of others just as much as my own. If there is a schedule, I follow it to the letter. Losing track of time is losing track of progress. Sorting things, finding things and keeping track of things is a strong suit for me.
I love working with others and making strong bonds. I am very friendly and do not discriminate others regarding creed, gender, sexuality, affiliations, race, or religion.
I am not perfect, but I am responsible and take credit or punishment for my victories and shortcomings willingly.
I know how to use a computer, cellphone, radio, car and how to record on my phone. I am certain I could easily become familiar with and master any other technology or equipment you need of me. I am also willing to get a gun license to further my qualifications.

Past Experiences
No, but my dad let me work security on our farm. I've shot a lot of big cats and coyotes.
No.
Of course! I worked on a farm herding sheep. You have to be one with your other farmers or nothing will get done! I also did marching band in high school and that also needs a lot of cooperation and coordination.
Never!

One warning regarding mixing during a state of extreme anger, a result of what I felt was DM rights being violated.

/me is used to describe what a character is doing. For example /me pops the gum in her mouth as she listens to another tedious list of excuses. or /me has pretty blue eyes that she winks at the security officer.
/do describes the environment or things in it. For example /do A bead of sweat drips off Trixie's brow. Or /do The scope of the gun catches the light as the sniper aims at the escaping inmate's ankles. These descriptions cannot be lied in.
