Please provide a short biography about yourself (minimum 100 words):
My name is Jayson Gaston, and I was born and raised in northern Queens, New York. My father was a detective in the NYPD and was a big inspiration in me wanting to help people. I never really had a mother figure in my life as my mother died when I was 7 years old. After my dad passed away it was hard for me to stay around Queens as I was constantly reminded of him, so I moved to Los Santos to seek work. It has been a hard journey finding a job, I’ve been mostly hunting to make money. I am now in the pursuit of a job to make not only me happy but to remember what my dad did and try to follow in his footsteps.
I am willing to dedicate myself fully to the department. I can work lots of hours as i don't really do much around Los Santos at the moment. I am willing to give 110% in everything I do.
Every since my father died; I have had a burning passion to help out this world we live in. The Department of Corrections is a really good steppingstone in getting to know law enforcement. I feel like I am really good at talking to people and can really deescalate or in the right circumstances, escalate any situation. I have seen and talking to many criminals and know how they work inside and out. I think I would make a great corrections officer because of the qualities I have to talk to people and make sure they are doing what they are supposed to be doing without causing a big commotion or putting anyone’s life in danger, because no matter what job you’re doing safety is always the number 1 priority.
I think I handle stressful situations fairly well. I have had guns pointed at me and was even taking hostage one day in a grocery store, and because of my calmness and my ability to convince people, I was able to safely get out of every situation.
Talking is my strongest asset, in my opinion. I can play any role needed to make sure any situation goes as planned and as smoothly as possible. I am also a skilled marksman as my dad trained me to shoot when I was just 9 years old. I also have good memory and I am good at making and helping make plans for anything that needs to be executed as I come up with pretty good ideas in my opinion.
