Please provide a short biography about yourself (minimum 100 words):
My name is Anthony Risso, I am an Italian-American from New York City, which is located on the east coast of the United States. I joined the United States Army when I was eighteen and served four years there which provided me with extensive experience that I feel will benefit me as a Department of Corrections Officer. After I got out of the Army, I moved back home for a while but felt like I needed a change. While I was looking at places to relocate to, I decided on Los Santos because I knew a couple of friends from New York that had already moved here. These friends of mine told me about how great the city was and how there is a lot to do in terms of places to go in the city and the extensive wildlife that is around. However, one thing they left out when telling me about the city was the rampant crime that is constantly being committed. I believe that I should be selected to be part of the Department of Corrections because in the time I have lived here, I have grown to love Los Santos and would like nothing more than to help the people of this city in any way I can.
I will dedicate as much time and energy as humanely possible!
I want to join the Department of Corrections because it would put me in a great position to be able to help the city of Los Santos and make a positive impact on its citizens and help stem the flow of crime. I feel like I should be considered over other applicants because of my experience in the United States Army, which has provided me with extensive experience in areas that apply to this position, such as firearms training and life-saver courses. Also, the Army has provided me with leadership skills, discipline, and professionalism, to name a few. Not only do I feel that my prior employment qualifies me for this position, but I will also be passionate about this employment opportunity, which can’t be truthfully said by everyone that is applying.
My time in the Army has shown that I am able to remain calm and professional under extreme pressure and stress.
My time in the military has provided me with a plethora of experience and training, and I feel that a lot of it could easily be translated to a position within the Department of Corrections. I have extensive experience using firearms both in range training and real-life scenario training. I have also been trained numerous times in combat life-saving courses, which would allow me the ability to render first aid if necessary. I have also overseen up to twenty soldiers at one time, which has given me a lot of leadership experience, which I believe would be valuable to this position. Finally, I think that I can be professional and levelheaded in high-stress situations. These are just some of the qualifications and traits I have acquired up to this point.
