Candidate Biography (150 Words):
Colt Daniels has spent much of his career in public service within the State of San Andreas. He began in law enforcement with the Los Santos County Sheriff’s Department before moving into the Judicial Branch, where he served for several years and ultimately held the position of Chief Justice.
During his time as Chief Justice, Colt was one of five officials who signed and ratified the current Constitution of the State of San Andreas. He later represented the Judicial Branch as its delegate to the Law Review Committee during the 1st Congress, giving him early legislative experience.
He went on to serve as an elected representative in the 8th, 9th, and 10th Congresses, where he has worked on legislation focused on transparency, election integrity, and accountability. His work has contributed to the passage of major bills and resolutions, including constitutional measures aimed at strengthening how government operates and how it answers to the public.
His career spans law enforcement, the courts, and the legislature, giving him a practical understanding of how all three branches of government function and where they fall short.
Candidate Statement (150 Words):
Over the 8th, 9th, and now 10th Congresses, I’ve tried to treat this job the way it should be treated, like actual work. I’ve shown up, participated in sessions, worked on legislation, and cast votes with the understanding that what we do in this room affects people outside of it. Over the last several weeks, I haven’t been as present as I expect from myself, but let my record over the last three terms shows exactly how I approach this role. I didn’t take this seat to hold a title. I took it to work.
One of the biggest things I pushed prior to the 10th Congress was the Term-Limit Elimination & Representation Modernization Resolution, which is now in effect as a constitutional amendment. That wasn’t about keeping anyone in office, it was about fixing a system that forced people out regardless of performance and putting that decision back where it belongs, with the voters. Because of that change, I’m now running for a fourth term, not because I’m entitled to it, but because the voters have the right to decide.
During the 10th Congress, I followed through on exactly what I said I would do. The Legislative Transparency Resolution passed 7–1. The Election Integrity & Fraud Prevention Act passed unanimously 8-0. The Representative Accountability Resolution passed its first round of votes 7–1 and is now moving forward as a proposed constitutional amendment. These weren’t ideas, they were commitments. And I delivered on them.
If I’m elected again, I’m not changing direction. I’m continuing to move forward. I’m running because I care about this state, I care about the people in it, and I believe this government works best when the people inside it take the job seriously and stay connected to the people outside it. That’s what I’ve worked to do, and that’s what I intend to keep doing.
