  • The Los Santos County Sheriff's Department Internal Affairs Bureau is committed to promoting transparency, accountability, and public trust. This monthly report provides a general summary of complaints received during the reporting period, along with the status or conclusion of each matter. In keeping with department policy, this report does not identify complainants, involved personnel, or specific disciplinary outcomes beyond general disposition categories.

ACCOUNTABILITY REPORT
  • Reporting Period: March 1st, 2026 - March 31st, 2026
    • #223527
      • Alleged an illegal search was conducted on their vehicle after a traffic stop stemming from an Deputy Involved Shooting. Review of bodycam, arrest reports, and procedures used showed no misconduct from the deputies involved.

      • Alleged that a vehicle was incorrectly impounded by a LSSD Investigator. That after a pursuit and traffic stop an unrelated vehicle was incorrectly impounded. After a through review it was determined that while the deputy in question did not violate any policies or procedures their Actions could have been different (ACD)

      • Alleged that a deputy was seen driving at excessive speeds, then violated CPR when conversing with a citizen. The investigation uncovered that while the deputy was driving at above legal speeds there was a justification for it. However it was ruled that the deputies Action could be different (ACD) in regards to their tone and conduct while conversing with the general public.

      • Alleged multiple breaches of use of force during a pursuit including spike strip and firearm usage. This report had mixed findings as multiple accusations were EXONERATED as the force used was appropriate. However one claim was sustained and the deputy in question was disciplined in accordance to LSSD policies and guidelines.
