Los Santos County Sheriff's Department Changes to Reserve Deputy Program "A TRADITION OF SERVICE" |
- March 28th, 2026Citizens of San Andreas,
The Los Santos County Sheriff's Department has had a Reserve Deputy program for nearly a year now. However, the program was initially only opened for higher ranked members of the supervisory team, or those who had spent a lengthy amount of time within the department. In other words, the program was not accessible to many.
After review of the existing program, I am pleased to announce some changes to the program to hopefully make the program more accessible for those who would benefit and/or be interested in the program.
The requirements for the program are as follows;
- • Must hold, or previously held, the rank of either Deputy Sheriff (MFTD), or Deputy Sheriff (Detective), with at least 6 months of service with the department.
• Reserve Deputy Sheriff's must maintain monthly activity requirements of 4 hours per month. This equates to about 40% of what is required for a full time Deputy Sheriff.
• Reserve Deputy Sheriffs operate with the rank authority equivalent of Deputy Sheriff (Bonus I), regardless of any prior positions held.
• Reserve Deputy Sheriffs may be restricted from participating in certain bureaus of the department.
• Reserve Deputy Sheriffs are ineligible for promotions - there is only one level of Reserve Deputy Sheriff.
• Former Deputy Sheriffs must have been honorably discharged. Those dishonorably discharged, must follow the Reinstatement process outlined here.
• Must not have any serious misdemeanors or felony charges on your record, and must be free of criminal affiliation.
• ((Must maintain appropriate faction standards, and adherence to server rules. Should not have any recent (~45 days) server punishments))
Edit: 29/Mar - added rank requirement, inadvertently left off the announcement and program requirements. - • Must hold, or previously held, the rank of either Deputy Sheriff (MFTD), or Deputy Sheriff (Detective), with at least 6 months of service with the department.
