[ROLEPLAY FEEDBACK] Legion Brawl - 09/MAR/2026

This is area is entirely Out of Character. This area is for community members to be able to provide feedback, both good and bad, about interactions with SD. This is not for Internal Affairs Reports, neither to report rule breaks.

Roleplay Feedback

1. What's your player name? Carmine Bolognese
2. Do you know any names of LSSD members involved in your situation? Mason Ross
Jaiden Famingo
3. When did this situation occur? 09/MAR/2026 - 17:45

4. Can you list down at least three good or bad things from our side in this situation?
  1. All others involved with the roleplay were perfectly fun to roleplay with and made the situation enjoyable.
  2. Rapid escalation stemming off any roleplay from the situation and forcing a very specific, quickened outcome.
  3. Treating performing an arrest like an OOC inconvenience, implying things should be obvious that should be roleplayed out. (e.g: lowering seats to make room in a car with four seats but two doors.)
5. Can you list down at least three good or bad things from your side in this situation?
  1. Poorly reacted to situation in OOC.
  2. Minor delays in roleplay to complain in OOC.
  3. Tried to roleplay with LEOs in a meaningful/fun manner prior to rapid escalation.
6. Can you provide an accurate description of the events that unfolded? (add any footage you may have to back any claims up)
I was playing with my friend Giuseppe and hanging around Legion, just kind of chatting shit and talking to people. I witnessed Giuseppe in a fight with deputies present, what the initial cause was I'm unsure. I ran in and started throwing punches to help my friend.

A detective in an unmarked car immediately pulled up and drew the most extreme weapon/heavy in his disposal from his back and told everyone to stop or be shot. I stopped momentarily. Mason Ross was accidentally cuffed by another deputy and I ran up to him and began swinging at him while he ran away. I was tazed and then the detective ran up to my already tazed self and repeatedly batoned until unconscious. I am honestly unsure if I was tazed once or twice during this interaction so I will not state as to the quantity.

The detective copy pasted Miranda rights at me and walked me to the cruiser. He told me to get into a vehicle with two doors and four seats. I asked him how I'd go about doing such a thing. I had to strongly urge him to lower the seat for me so I could climb in, but he seemed apparently confused by the fact I would not before this.

The deputy then sped towards Sandy at 200+ an hour and after some back and forth about IA complaints, got me into a cell where I spoke to Grayson briefly about what had unfolded.

7. What would you have done differently from both the perspective of SD and your own?
I felt as though Jaiden Famingo had treated my roleplay as a nuisance and something that needs to be sped through as quickly as possible, wrapped up so he can go to the next scene. I'd have made more effort to roleplay with the suspect, grabbing them and giving more opportunity to resist before immediately stemming roleplay. No efforts to roleplay with me were made while I was on the ground, a heavy weapon and threatening to gun people down was his first reaction.

8. What are you hoping to accomplish by sending this feedback to us?
I hope that SD will learn from this and try and allow more wiggle room for roleplay in the future, I am aware of internal messages that have this in mind so I am unsure why it was foregone in this instance.

    Carmine Bolognese,

Thank you for submitting this roleplay feedback, and apologies for the length of time it has taken to get back to you on this. It was originally assigned to a different supervisor, who had some things come up, and therefore there have been some delays in getting this response out.

Unfortunately, this response comes with its own limitations, as no evidence was provided on your part. This did not enable us to review the interactions that took place between you and members of our faction.

In your feedback, you mentioned a specific example of treating the arrest as an OOC inconvenience of, "lowering seats to make room in a car with four seats but two doors", but did not provide any further examples. While I can understand the want for more immersive roleplay, there can be differences in roleplay styles. Expecting another player to roleplay lowering seats is what I would consider to be immersive RP, which is not commonly seen in RP done during an arrest. We of course strive for high quality RP, but I am not sure there's any kind of "requirement" we can place on people to do certain kinds of RP when it's involving certain kinds of vehicles. We can of course encourage it, but requiring it is another. Again, it would have been nice to see video of this interaction, so we could see how it all played out beyond just the desired RP of lowering the seats so your character could get in.
A detective in an unmarked car immediately pulled up and drew the most extreme weapon/heavy in his disposal from his back and told everyone to stop or be shot.
I assume your concern is the use of a heavy weapon, rather than like a handgun or taser? If so, this may be an issue of an internal policy violation (IC), and could have possibly been explored from an IC avenue such as internal affairs. But from this OOC RP standards feedback, it can be deemed as one way to address the threat to law enforcement posed by your character. I think either way, your character was going to be presented with some sort of threat/demand to cease your actions.
I was tazed and then the detective ran up to my already tazed self and repeatedly batoned until unconscious. I am honestly unsure if I was tazed once or twice during this interaction so I will not state as to the quantity.
No information or evidence had been provided to enable us to identify this faction member to get their perspective or review their actions. From what you have reported, you were involved in a physical fight with members of the faction, had a gun pulled on you, and were tased after attacking a handcuffed faction member. This is all a series of escalating events, and the use of a baton seems justifiable. The only other option which could have been employed is the use of RP to try and hold your character in place. But again, without the ability to see the interactions take place, we cannot fully assess what happened or speak with the involved faction member(s).
I felt as though Jaiden Famingo had treated my roleplay as a nuisance and something that needs to be sped through as quickly as possible, wrapped up so he can go to the next scene.
We do strive for roleplay over action, and through this feedback, it will be reinforced.
