  3.1) Why are you seeking employment with the San Andreas Judicial Branch?
  • I am looking for a career where I can make a difference in someone’s life. I am looking to be a part of something bigger than myself. I have always had an interest in figuring out the missing piece — the one thing that might set someone free or help build a strong case to prosecute. I feel my skills and attributes would be best used in this career path.

  • My name is Oliver Grant. I was born up north in New York. My father, William Grant, was a practicing attorney. He was always busy with work and often at the office. When the babysitter would call off, I would get to go to his office. That was when I saw him light up with joy at the sheer chance to help someone with their case. The passion and love for law is something we shared.
    
    Before long, going to the office with him became more common, and we bonded over some of the cases. We would pick each other’s brains and try to find that missing piece. The real turning point came when I first stepped into a courtroom. Seeing the entire process and how the judge carried himself was incredible. The tension between the attorneys was intense. They were determined and sharp in their arguments. It seemed like one wrong move and they would kill each other right there.
    
    Sure enough, that passion paid off when my father won his case and an innocent man did not go to prison that day. That was when I knew I needed to pursue a similar career. Unfortunately, not long after that, my father passed away due to illness. Despite the grief and loss, I knew it would be much harder to step into his shoes without his guidance. So I packed up and moved to a new city where I could make a name for myself and live up to his standards..

The San Andreas Judicial Branch Recruitment team has deliberated following your interview. At this time we would like to OFFER you employment with our branch. The starting position for every member of the Judicial Branch is LAW STUDENT while you go through training before passing your BAR examination at which point you will be given a $20,000 bonus.
