Roleplay Feedback
1. What's your player name? Billy_Bluewater
2. Do you know any names of LSSD members involved in your situation? Charlie_Ross
3. When did this situation occur? 09/FEB/2026 around 21:45
4. Can you list down at least three good or bad things from our side in this situation?
- Bad - Demonstrated a rp 2 win mentality by not accepting that an organised car switch could result in SD losing Billy Bluewater
- Good - Didn't try to antagonise me when he clearly saw I was frustrated
- Bad - Ignored the fact I had a gun out and tazed me
- Bad - I got frustrated at the situation
- Bad - Had my voice set to Whisper when I was trying to tell Charlie I had a gun
I was in a pursuit with 2x SD units, 1 dropped off leaving only 1 unit following me. During the pursuit I was on the phone with another player and was setting up a car swap near to Red parking. During the pursuit, Charlie was following me very closely and made contact with my vehicle a few times due to not having enough time to match my braking.
When I did eventually reach the parking lot, Charlie began trying to get infront of me with very aggressive driving. I then jumped off the ledge, not realising how steep it was and was followed by Charlie. When I got up, I pulled out my weapon and also stated I had the weapon but didn't clock that my voice was set to whisper. I then began running up the hill to get onto the highway and was immediately tazed by Charlie, even though it was pretty clear I had a gun out. This completely ruined the plan and in my opinion demonstrated a clear play to win mentality with Charlie not even considering the idea he wouldn't be able to catch me.
7. What would you have done differently from both the perspective of SD and your own?
Roleplay isn't and should never be about purely winning a situation. It needs to remain fun for all players and whilst I understand that SD's roleplay purpose is to catch criminals, I do not believe that this should be the at the detriment to roleplay. It's recently became increasingly difficult to evade on foot as you are immediately tazed at the first available opportunity.
I personally believe that had Charlie not taken out the tazer and tazed me whilst I was climbing up onto the highway, it would've been a clear cut getaway which was highly likely to result in a successful evasion.
8. What are you hoping to accomplish by sending this feedback to us?
Reflection on this behaviour and also a change - roleplay shouldn't be about constantly winning scenarios.
