- INTRODUCING THE MEDIA PRESS PASS
- Blaine County: The Sheriff's Information Division is officially releasing the rebranded Media Press Pass. This will allow employees of recognized news networks and approved independent journalists to participate in a specialized ride-along with selected members of the Sheriff’s Department.
The program is designed to give media professionals a deeper, firsthand look into the Department’s daily operations while supporting transparent and accurate news reporting.

If you are interested in the Sheriff's Information Media Press Pass Program, you can read more and apply here!The Media Press Pass has been a long-time goal for the Sheriff's Information Division to release, and I am pleased that we finally have seen the day of release! We have had good relationships with members of the media and independent journalists throughout the time, and creating this possibility is a step in the right direction.
In the coming months, we will continue to monitor the activity within the program and see where we can improve the experience for the passholders and their organizations. Any feedback is always welcomed.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION- Individuals convicted of any Serious Felonies or violent crimes outlined in the San Andreas Penal Code. Background checks will be conducted before each ride-along and at regular intervals.
- Individuals with any gang-affiliation will not be permitted to receive a Media Press Pass, no matter their rank within a media network.
- The passholder may not bring any personal, legal or illegal firearms, weapons or substance to the ride-along. We do not offer personal law enforcement lockers as a storage opportunity.
