Opening Message

Summer is in full swing at SADOC and even though we're incapable of turning off the furnace that heats Bolingbroke, we've been keeping it cool.
Groundskeeping has been hard at work internally ensuring that our windows now open a few inches to let the cool air in but keep inmates from sliding through the gap.
We have also embraced Pride Month, contributing to the Pride Parade and ensuring that we spread the message of inclusivity.
Please enjoy reading this month's press release!
Pride Month!

Love is love, and love comes in all shapes and sizes.
We've heard this phrase over and over again, so what does it mean? With our fast-paced lives, its important to stop once a while and appreciate one of the basic human necessities; love. That's why we at SADOC participated, like every year, in Pride Month!
Pride Month annually takes place in June to show support, recognition and celebrate the history of the LGBTQ+ community!
Now worry not if you seem lost in all this and don't know what's happening! The main part about Pride Month is educating oneself. As long as you are actively listening, appreciating and accepting of everyone, you are already showing support during the Pride Month!
In LGBTQ+, 'L' stands for Lesbians, 'G' for Gays, 'B' for Bisexual, 'T'' for Transgender and 'Q' for Queer. The recent addition of '+' only helps in classifying the broad spectrum of identities.
When it comes to this month, use this month as a way to absorb as much information as you would like, and take your learning and findings into everyday life, beyond the Pride Month time period. If you just appreciate the LGBTQ+ community during the Pride Month and discriminate against them all year around, you just aren't in the right spirit!
At San Andreas Department of Corrections, we support, appreciate and encourage individuality. We stand with pride, either as member of the community or as allies, celebrating the battles won for LGBTQ+ communities and fighting any incoming ones!
This month on the 21st of June, SADOC was also present at the city-wide Pride Parade! We were able to deploy various vehicles like our TARVS, Scouts, Park Rangers and many more, all decked out in custom pride inspired paint-jobs, and join the parade!
The turn-out was truly inspirational as members of SADOC joined Weazel News network, Bayview, Benny's, DCC, LSPD, LSSD, LSMD and many more individual participants.

Happy Pride!

Employee of the Month
Each month here at the San Andreas Department of Corrections we like to bestow an honor on this month's best performing officer who has shown time and time again that they put maximum effort and commitment into their work. The officer selected for this prestigious award has proved themselves as a representation of how each officer working for our department should strive to be.
Employee of the Month - June 2025
Correctional Officer II Marbella Young - #1231
You can praise an officer here if you have anything good to say about a DOC employee!
Questions for the Employee of the Month
We like to ask the employee of the month a few questions to get their perspective on the job and what makes a great officer, below are a few answers to common questions by our Employee of the Month:
Looking back, what are memorable achievements from your service so far?
Looking back, what are memorable achievements from your service so far?
Moving forward what are the next goals as a SADOC officer? Now that I look back, I find that out of everywhere I have worked, my biggest and most memorable achievements from my service so far is finding a place where I belong, being able to perform well in my divisions. I was awarded Groundskeeper of the Month as well as PR Spotlight for the month of June.
Any advice they would give to future prospects who might think about joining the SADOC?Going forward, I want to take up a command position in at least one division. I also want to work towards drives that help inmates through their time in prison.
If you are thinking about joining SADOC, I highly suggest it! You'll find your forever family with the most amazing co-workers. The work at DOC is very satisfying and becomes even more rewarding when you join divisions that interest you! I say take the leap and enjoy your new found love for SADOC!
Casual Friday's
Every Friday, San Andreas Department of Corrections holds Casual Fridays where employees can ditch their usual uniforms and strut many kinds of casual clothing! Many a times, Casual Fridays come with a little extra flavour. One such Friday, 6th June, SADOC hosted the Funky Hat Casual Friday for all it's employees!
Many DOC officers joined in on the fun and show cased their various styles and aesthetics. Hats displayed throughout the day ranged from cute, stylish, fierce, funky and down right comical!
Corporal Danielle Young and Correctional Officer II Marbella Young carried the cute look on their backs with Reindeer Antlers and Pink Kitty Headphones respectively. While Correctional Officer II Lana Murphy was ready to set sail with her stylish sailor hat. Deputy Warden Issei Schneider rocked his call sign on his party hat! There were so many more!
This event wasn't just about expressing our funky styles but also a competition. There was a prize pool of $50,000 for people with the best funky hat! Out of all the officers that participated, we found that Correctional Officer II Marcus Falcone and Correctional Officer III Antonio Moretti knew exactly what it meant to be funky!
says Marcus Falcone. On the other hand, Antonio Moretti stated that it felt great as he always had the quirks and just had to nail the execution! Officer Moretti's inspiration came from a beloved childhood video game character of Halo, while Officer Falcone had a more tactical inspiration of using the visor's marking as a guide for accurate tazings. How funky, smart and nostalgic! It's an amazing opportunity thanks to the PR team...
Funky Hat Casual Friday is just a small taste of all the fun events SADOC hosts for its employees and the community. Building a safe, fun community is what we strive for and we hope to share more of this fun with you!

F1 Event
Formula 1 Racing and tournaments are famous in many countries all over the world. This is why we at San Andreas Department of Corrections decided to host our very own Formula 1 racing event for our employees!
What is the difference between any ordinary race car and a F1 race car, I hear you ask? Well the difference is all in the way the cars are used! F1 cars are engineered for maximum speed and cornering performance, focusing on an aerodynamic build with a light weight body. Normal race cars prioritize power and straight-line speed, with a more heavy body and less focus on aerodynamics as compared to the F1 cars.
For those of us who are car savvy, a F1 cars prioritize power boasts a high-revving turbo charged V6 or V8 engines. Modern F1 engines also utilize hybrid tech for energy recovery. For those of us not so knowledgeable, in summary, it speeds up fast and can take sharp turns smooth as butter!
Due to the fun of racing an F1 car being in its turn-taking ability, the available tracks located in the city just didn't make the cut. With special help from the government, we acquired the permissions to use Fort Zancudo for this event!
Fort Zancudo is a strictly off-limits area for civilians. It is used by Los Santos Police Department, Los Santos Sheriff's Department and sometimes San Andreas Department of Corrections for training purposes. The area was jazzed up with a custom race track, with multiple sharp and hair-pin turns.
This event was in the works for almost a year, so when it finally happened, the event was a blast! With the help of a pit crew, our officers got their F1 cars in customized colors and were off to the tracks.
Our participants started with a few warm up rounds to get used to the car and the track. Once everyone was feeling confident enough, we lined up to prepare for the actual race. The race was planned to be a best out of three wins but with everyone having so much fun, it turned out to be a great community building experience!

Phone Calls

The 10-15 can use the phone call for any number of reasons such as letting their mom know they're going to be in prison for a few years, telling their significant other to come to visit them, or getting a friend to feed their pet while they're incarcerated.
Phone calls are a privilege, not a right. Any Correctional Officer has the right to decline you for a phone call for any reason they see fit.
