I would just like to briefly inquire about your ridealong program in regards to exfelons. As you may know the LSPD has opened up ridealongs for reformed ex felons, which allows people like me to experience the greater side of law enforcement and help us rid of our biases.

Would you ever consider opening up ride alongs in a similar process to the LSPD in regards to exfelons?

  Thank you for your patience while this has been under review.
  
  A discussion was raised between the Sheriff's Department's Command Team and it has been decided not to change our regulations regarding the Sheriff's Department's Ride-Along Program. The program is mainly used as a recruitment tool. We do not hire individuals with charges that would deny them from the program in the first place, so as of for now, we do not see a need to change our program.
  
  The Sheriff's Information Division is currently working on a Ride-Along option for individuals hired at Weazel Network. This may or may not have lesser restrictions. This is pending decision.
