World Cup Fever Grips Los Santos
LOS SANTOS, SA —
With mere weeks until the FEEFA World Cup 2026 begins in June, the Los Santos Police Department has begun their tournament preparations, outlining early plans to manage what is expected to be one of the largest and most high-profile public safety operations in San Andreas history.
The Maze Bank Arena in La Puerta will be attracting significant crowds when it hosts several fixtures during the tournament. City Officials are expecting a major influx of tourists and football supporters from all over the world.
The Maze Bank Arena will host Match 26, the Group B fixture between Switzerland and Bosnia and Herzegovina, which will be attended by former Police Captain Tim Havlicek. In addition, the arena will host Match 4, the Group D fixture between the United States and Paraguay, and Match 39, the Group G fixture between Belgium and Iran, which will be attended by former Police Sergeant Steve Martinez. The venue will also host two Round of 32 fixtures and one Quarter Final.
The sheer scale of the worldwide event presents several logistical challenges, including crowd control, traffic congestion, petty crime prevention, and the coordination of emergency response teams across multiple city districts. Planning meetings between the San Andreas State Government, the San Andreas Aviation Authority, Los Santos Transport, Los Santos Emergency Medical Services, and the Los Santos Police Department are already underway.
Among the Department’s key concerns are the expected surge in pedestrian traffic around Maze Bank Arena and the possibility of opportunistic crime targeting tourists unfamiliar with the city. LSPD officials are reviewing intelligence-sharing protocols and contingency plans for potential demonstrations, ticket fraud, and unauthorised street gatherings often associated with major sporting events of this scale.

"
We are taking a proactive approach to ensure the city is ready before a ball is kicked. Adequate preparation is critical as while events of this magnitude bring excitement and intrigue to our fair city, they also come with pressure on our public services and increased safety risks. Our focus right now is putting the systems in place to be able to handle the increase and ensure our residents and the visitors alike feel safe and secure, during what is a massive moment for the City.
