Los Santos: After each month, supervisory personnel of the Los Santos Police Department conduct a thorough review of officer statistics within their divisions and nominate those who have shown significant dedication to the Department based on statistics such as duty hours, individual performances within divisions, administrative efforts, and above all, their embodiment of the values that the Department holds dear.

The title of "Officer of the Month" is distinguished and is awarded to officers who have demonstrated unwavering dedication, outstanding performance, and unrivaled professionalism in the line of duty, and who through their steadfast commitment to the communities and the pursuit of justice, embody the very essence of the core values of the Department, where excellence is not just another word, but the backbone on which our law enforcement philosophy is built.

This month, it is with great honor that we shine a light on, commend, and salute Police Officer III Drew Hollowell for his efforts, dedication, and achievements. Officer Hollowell has been voted Officer of the Month for October 2025.

Officer Hollowell was nominated by Captain II Jonathan Willowick, who serves as his Commanding Officer within the Major Crimes Division. Captain Willowick had the following to say about Officer Hollowell:

Captain II Jonathan Willowick, Commanding Officer, Major Crimes Division wrote: While still new within MCD, Officer Hollowell has been putting in consistent effort on the field with 112 hours on shift, and it has been mentioned that he has also been very active within TED. He has conducted 1 Field Training Session and 5 Field Patrol Sessions throughout the month, has been doing well since joining the division, and eager to help out whenever he has the chance.

Officer Drew Hollowell rejoined the Los Santos Police Department on February 27, 2025, through the Department’s Field Training Program following his reinstatement. He successfully completed the program and was promoted to Police Officer I on March 22, 2025, assigned to the Rockford Hills Patrol Division.

In the months that followed, Hollowell continued to advance through the ranks, being upgraded to Police Officer II on May 4, 2025, and to Police Officer III on July 11, 2025. His performance and investigative aptitude soon led to his reassignment to the Detective Services Group, where he served as a Support Officer before his appointment as a Detective Trainee with the Major Crimes Division on October 14, 2025.

Today, Officer Hollowell serves as a Police Officer III assigned to the Major Crimes Division as a Detective Trainee, continuing his training and development toward becoming a Detective I. Alongside his primary assignment, he remains actively involved in several secondary roles, including the Traffic Enforcement Division as a Traffic Supervisor, assists the Recruitment and Employment Division, and serves as a K9 Handler with the K9 Platoon.

The Department finds it important to acknowledge the tireless efforts and unwavering dedication of our officers amidst their daily challenges and responsibilities.

Please join us in congratulating Officer Drew Hollowell on this prestigious award. We look forward to his continued success with the Los Santos Police Department.
