Letter From the Governor

Emily Whitehorse wrote:Summer is in full swing and the State Government continues a strong month of growth across all our staff teams. We saw a number of events this month and some internal changes, with us continuing on the path of moving forward and exploring new ways to improve our staff team interoperability across bureaus and more cross bureau integration for a mutually shared identity.
This month we welcomed the appointment of Interim Director Dan Endo to Public Relations, and already we have seen a wide variety of events under his leadership either in progress or just recently concluded. If you notice a splash of color in our newsletters and press releases, that's thanks to the efforts of Interim Director Endo and his team. We just saw the completion of the SASG Summer Fest at the pier, and based on the public feedback, it was a stand out success. I want to thank the PRB team and all the organizations, as well as DJ's, that contributed for joining and being apart of the festivities.
Looking forward, we have the August 3rd SASG Job Fair this Sunday, be sure to stop by and visit! We will have plenty of activities, demonstrations, and other activity's going on that day Be sure to stop by the Administration booth to see if you can catch a walk in interview, or stop by the Government Security Bureau booth to try out the firing range. I look forward to seeing everyone in person. As a reward to anyone who reads this, the first person to come to me and whisper "Summer Fest" will win a small prize.
Lastly, I am glad to announce that further in the newsletter, you will get an exclusive first look at our first San Andreas State Governments Employee of the Month. This new system is designed to reward all our employees across all bureaus for the outstanding contributions they provide each month, giving spotlights to highlight each employees actions. The eligibility encompasses both general staff and supervisors, chosen by the command team at large toward the end of each month. I look seeing all the staff that will be spotlit moving forward.
Fourth of July
United in Celebration: Honoring Freedom, Community, and the Spirit of San Andreas

Independence Day is more than just a celebration; it’s a reminder of the freedoms we cherish, the sacrifices made to protect them, and the unity that continues to strengthen our great nation. At the San Andreas State Government, we take immense pride in honouring this day alongside every resident, family, and visitor who calls this beautiful state home.
This year, we were proud to take part in the city's spectacular fireworks show at the pier. The sky lit up with colour, but even more heartwarming was seeing our community come together, neighbours, friends, and strangers alike sharing smiles, laughter, and a deep love for our country. The photos below capture just a glimpse of that unforgettable night. They speak volumes about the spirit that binds us together: unity, pride, and love for one another.

We also want to give a special thank you to companies like Bayview, who exemplify the spirit of giving back by offering 50% off labour on such a meaningful day. Their generosity doesn’t go unnoticed and is a powerful reminder of the good that thrives in our state.
We hope everyone had a safe, joyful, and patriotic Fourth of July.
God bless America, and God bless Emily Whitehorse.

Keeping Our City Moving Forward
A Fresh Look for Mission Row and Benny’s – Keeping Our City Moving Forward

If you’ve been through Mission Row recently, you might have noticed something exciting: the Los Santos Police Department has completed a full refresh of its main headquarters. The updated building stands as a modern, secure, and professional hub for one of our city's most vital institutions. From the sleek new façade to the revamped interior, it reflects the strength, integrity, and forward-thinking approach of our police force.
The San Andreas State Government is incredibly proud of the transformation. It's not just about aesthetics, it's about creating environments that support the people who serve our city every day. This upgrade is part of a wider commitment to keeping our urban spaces fresh, functional, and in tune with the needs of a constantly evolving city.

And it’s not just public institutions getting a facelift. You may have also spotted the new look at Benny’s detailed recently in Cobb’s Blog. This reimagined space is more than just stylish; it’s smarter, too. The addition of dedicated offices for HR, PR, and Management as well as a fresh new training floor allows Benny’s to better support its staff, especially newcomers who can now train away from the hustle and bustle of the main shop floor.
This new space at Benny’s also opens the doors for exciting on-site events, like the recent "Benny’s Is Bigger" competition. From eating contests to build-offs, this event showcased exactly what Benny’s is all about: bigger bays, bigger builds, bigger beef, and bigger battles. It's a sign of the evolving culture and energy that’s growing not just inside Benny’s, but across the entire city.

As our city grows, so does our ambition. We’re looking at every opportunity to modernise our infrastructure, support our workforce, and ensure every corner of San Andreas reflects the vibrant future we're building together.
Del Perro Pier Gets a Glow-Up
New Businesses Bring Fresh Energy to the Boardwalk!

We recently released a statement outlining BPB's renewed commitment to boosting support for local businesses and revitalising the entertainment scene around Vespucci Pier!
From pop-up shops and street performances to new licensing support for vendors and entertainers, the plan is clear: make Vespucci a true hub for culture, commerce, and community.
The BPB is working hand-in-hand with business owners, artists, and city departments to create a more vibrant, inclusive space that reflects the heart of Los Santos.
You can read more about it here: Click to view the full press release👉 Whether you’re a small business owner, performer, or just someone who loves the pier, there’s exciting progress ahead.

Employee of the Month - July 2025

Special Agent Alfie Watch - #27011
SASG Employee of the Month: Continued
Alfie has been a tireless force, working nonstop to enhance safety protocols and significantly improve the information available to all agents. His dedication not only strengthens our operations but also ensures that every agent is better equipped to perform at their best.
But Alfie’s impact goes beyond his work he’s a constant source of positivity, lifting the team’s spirits and motivating everyone around him. His enthusiasm and support make the workplace a better, more inspiring environment for all.
We caught up with Alfie’s bureau leader, Director Conway, who had this to say:
Lester Conway wrote: Special Agent Watch has been an integral part of the Government Security Bureau throughout my tenure as director always willing to go the extra mile to make GSB the best it can be.
I would like to recognise and thank Alfie for his recent and vast contributions to the bureau from this past month. Alfie has been an immense driving force for our new special operations divisions and has significantly developed both GSI (Government Security Investigations) and GSAT (Government Security Advanced Tactical Unit) developing training and protocols for both significantly improving GSB for the better.
It is an honour to work along side you and I look forward too seeing what you will do in the future of your very bright career.
Congratulations, Alfie! Your hard work and uplifting spirit are making a real difference, and we can’t wait to see all the great things you’ll accomplish moving forward.
Summer Fest 2025
Summer Fest 2025
We’re excited to share that we recently hosted our first event with the newly appointed Public Relations team, the 2025 Summer Fest, and it was a huge success!
This incredible event was led by Emma Onizuka, who brought her creativity, coordination, and community spirit to the forefront. Her leadership turned the pier into a vibrant space, complete with music, booths, and an energy that united everyone who attended.
A huge thank you to Emma for her hard work and to the entire PR team for making this a memorable first event. We're just getting started, and the future is looking bright.
Here’s a behind-the-scenes look at us setting up the booths and building the stage at the pier.

This year’s Summer Fest went above and beyond anything we could have imagined! It wasn’t just an event; it was a celebration of community, connection, and pure summer joy.
Familiar faces we hadn’t seen in a while returned with warm smiles, and we were thrilled to welcome new ones into the mix. The turnout was incredible!
We had four amazing DJs keeping the vibe alive, jet ski rides, and even helicopter tours thanks to the incredible folks at LSEMS and on-the-spot BLS signups. The Los Santos Sheriff's Department brought the adrenaline with parachute lessons, turning excitement into opportunity.
Our friends at Weazel got everyone laughing and cheering with their interactive game show, while Bayview kept the summer spirit alive with custom t-shirt giveaways. Department of Corrections ran a fantastic recruitment booth, and LSMC made sure no one went hungry, serving up delicious food all day long.
A Special Thank You
We want to give a special thank you to the Judicial Branch for generously donating a vehicle for the raffle and to HeavyFlow Dealership for offering a discount on one of the two cars we gave away.
Congratulations to all our raffle winners!
Events like this remind us what’s possible when the state comes together. Thank you to everyone who participated, helped, and simply showed up.
We hope you had as much fun as we did, and we can’t wait to see you all at the next one!

Moving into August
August is Upon us!
As July draws to a close, the San Andreas State Government is proud to reflect on what has been an extraordinary month of community engagement and celebration across the City of Los Santos. At the heart of it all was Summer Fest, which saw overwhelming turnout and enthusiasm, transforming the city into a beacon of summer spirit, music, and unity.
But the excitement didn’t stop there.
From the elegance and charm of the DCC Summer Ball, to the thrilling LSPD vs. LSSD K9 event that showcased our agencies’ talent and teamwork, Los Santos has proven once again that it thrives on connection, culture, and collaboration.
