The program provides financial rebates and promotional support for a wide range of eligible activities, all aimed at boosting local business visibility and driving economic activity across our communities.

What’s New in the Updated Program?

Expanded Eligibility: Now open to a wider range of businesses, including new storefronts, mobile vendors, and event-based enterprises.

More Uses Approved: Rebates can now apply to soft openings, grand openings, special sales events, themed market days, and more.

Higher Flexibility: Businesses can tailor their event or marketing strategy while receiving support for banners, digital ads, décor, entertainment, and staffing.

Streamlined Application Process: We’ve reduced paperwork, clarified guidelines, and made it easier than ever to apply.

Plus Get Support On These Event Essentials:

To make event planning more accessible and impactful, the Bureau is now offering direct rebates or support for:

Weazel News Coverage: Coverage of Bulk Event Package A (Non-Gov Funded)
Security Costs: Refunds available for up to two (2) security agents, based on Bureau review
Food & Beverage Supplies: Up to 40 beverages and/or 40 food items provided (food only approved for restaurant-based events)
Entertainment: Up to 1 hour of DJ services covered
Venue Support: 50% of venue costs covered at eligible SASG public venues

What Can You Get Support For?

Hosting a grand opening or reopening
Organising a community market, block party, or cultural event
Running a seasonal promotion or pop-up event
Upgrading storefront aesthetics to attract new customers
Promoting new products or services to local audiences

This program is just one of the ways the Bureau is investing in our neighbourhoods, making it easier for local business owners to thrive while bringing life and energy to our streets.
