Los Santos: Between the night of May 21st and the early morning of May 22nd, investigators assigned to the Los Santos Police Department Gang and Narcotics Division conducted a joint-effort raid with investigators of the Los Santos County Sheriff's Department gang unit, executing a search warrant on the property of what they described to a high-value target within the gang land.

Detectives assigned to the specialized anti-gang units of both the Police Department and Sheriff's Department developed a strategy following a wave of extreme violence and hostilities launched against law enforcement by a criminal organization and a street gang, resulting in countless lives lost. A strategy that was designed to hit back where it mattered and would hurt, and cripple the organization and their activities on a broader scale.

After countless hours deliberating on a notable target based on specific intelligence and criteria, and even longer conducting surveillance operations to obtain sufficient evidence for a search warrant to be signed by the courts, gang detectives managed to obtain sufficient cause after two weeks of continued surveillance.

Investigators paired with tactical elements moved to execute the search warrant, after which they were met with a heavy resistance described to have been fifteen to twenty armed gang members who launched a large-scale attack on the law enforcement officers conducting the raid.

All armed assailants were swiftly neutralized by detectives, tactical officers, and supporting officers, after which the property and contraband were secured with no further resistance.

Spearheaded by Detective Molloy and Investigator Andollini, the execution of this search warrant has been determined to have removed an estimate ranging between $1.5 million and $1.65 million worth of contraband.

These investigators have made the Los Santos Police Department and Los Santos County Sheriff's Department proud with their diligence and efforts in the continued war on crime and gang-related offenses, and for that, we applaud them.
