Message from the Branch Administrator
- Citizens of San Andreas,

Deputy Branch Admin Sanchez
Over the past month, the judicial branch has experienced several notable advancements. We successfully conducted our inaugural on-the-spot bench trial. Additionally, there have been two significant promotions: Izaak Scott has been fully appointed as Chief Public Defender, and Antonio McFornell has been named Supreme Court Justice. Colt Daniel’s has also fully transitioned into his role as Judiciary Advisor, where he will continue to provide valuable guidance to the judiciary.
Recruitment efforts have been progressing positively. We have initiated the search for our first fully civilian position, Director of Public Relations, and have begun the interview process for this role. This position marks the beginning of additional civilian roles to come.
Everyone in the branch is dedicated to ensuring the continued growth of the judicial branch, aiming to effectively serve the community's needs. Our goal is to always uphold Justice, and maintain the balance of our beautiful city.

Public Defense Employee of the Month

Public Defense Employee of the Month
- For the month of August, Izaak Scott would like to recognize Ezio Boriga as the Public Defense Divisions Employee of the Month.

Attorney Ezio Borgia
Chief Public Defender Izaak Scott wrote: I am thrilled to announce Ezio Borgia as the Employee of the Month at SAJB Public Defense! He has been an incredible support for the entire division, consistently taking initiative with exceptional skill and dedication. Ezio goes above and beyond in his efforts to help our clients, particularly excelling in plea deals and fostering strong relationships with those we serve. His positive vibe and unwavering commitment have made a significant impact on our team and the people we serve. Congratulations, Ezio!
Supreme Court Appointment of Antonio McFornell
- I am deeply honored to have been offered a seat on the Supreme Court. This appointment represents the culmination of a lifelong commitment to the administration of justice, which I have pursued in various capacities throughout my career. From the moment I returned to Los Santos, my goal was to continue serving the judicial system with integrity and dedication.

Supreme Court Justice Tony McFornell
Over the years, I have worked to establish myself within the State Judiciary, more recently focusing particularly on revitalizing the Superior Court and ensuring that it operates with the utmost fairness and efficiency. Today's appointment is not just a recognition of my devotion to upholding the law and the Constitution, but it also signifies a profound opportunity to contribute to our justice system at the highest level. Needless to say, I am deeply humbled by this opportunity -specially having to fill departing Justice Colt Daniels seat-.
I am committed to approaching this nomination with humility, dedication, and a deep sense of duty. As a member of the Supreme Court, I am eager to work alongside Chief Justice Judith Mason to provide training and mentorship for our new clerks and future judges. Together, we will strive to invigorate the court and uphold the principles of justice that are the cornerstone of our legal system.
The months ahead will bring a lot of change and new opportunities for our judicial system and we are prepared to face them with adamant determination. I personally look forward to contributing to the Supreme Court's legacy and ensuring that it continues to serve the people of San Andreas and our Constitution.

Changes to Miranda Rights
- [PRESS RELEASE #32] Miranda Rights Revised
The San Andreas Judicial Branch has updated the language of the Miranda Rights to clarify legal protections, replacing "the right to a Government Appointed Attorney" with "the right to an Attorney." This change ensures access to private attorneys during legal questioning, addressing previous ambiguities.
Closing Message
- As we wrap up the month of August and, in a way, bring the summer to a close, I'm pleased to reflect on how much progress we've made at SAJB in the last month. Internally, the release of numerous documents designed to enhance the training and skills of our new attorneys has significantly benefited our branch. These resources have strengthened our team's capabilities and set a solid foundation for our future.

Chief Public Defender Izaak Scott
I'm particularly proud to recognize Ezio as our Defense Employee of the Month. His thoughtful approach to challenging situations and the high caliber of his work have made a remarkable impact. I have no doubt that he will continue to progress and excel within our branch.
The initiation of our first bench trials this month was a milestone, and McFornell’s promotion to the Supreme Court was not only well-deserved but also a fundamental achievement for our branch. Additionally, I'm excited to share a significant development that isn't yet publicly known—we conducted our first on-the-spot bench trial, where the defendant had not already served time in prison. This is a tremendous step forward for both the Judicial Branch and the public, underscoring our commitment to justice and efficiency. While the prosecution did not name an employee of the month this month, a special thanks was given to Attorney Blaise and Attorney Cuttings for their hard work in keeping the prosecution division active.
Overall, August has been a transformative month for SAJB, setting the stage for even greater achievements in the months to come.
