Penal Code Amendments

In total, the following changes have been made:

• Added - 2
  • GM25 - Possession/Unlawful use of Government Equipment
  • GM26 - Possession of Illegal Information Gathering Devices

• Modified - 1
  • GM08 - Vandalism

• Archive - Archived Laws for use in pending Criminal Trials in the Superior Court
  • GENERAL MISDEMEANORS

    GM08 - Vandalism

    Every person who maliciously commits any of the following acts with respect to any real or personal property not his or her own is guilty of vandalism:
    

    • Defaces with graffiti or other inscribed material.
    • Damages.
    • Destroys.
    • Damages/Destroys with intent to commit further crime.

    If the amount of defacement, damage, or destruction is less than $2,000 and there was no intent to commit a further crime, a citation of $1000 should be issued with no further jail time.
