Leaving Vehicles at the Impound

Los Santos: The Los Santos Police Department has recognized a significant uptick in released vehicles being left abandoned, unattended, or parked at the city police impound.

The police impound, while accessible to the public to have their impounded vehicles released back into their possession, is a private police facility. Spaces within the confinements of the gates and walls of the police impound are strictly for the parking of police cruisers, temporary parking by residents to recover their vehicles, or for impounded vehicles.

Civilians are permitted a reasonable time frame to park their released vehicle and recover their other vehicle, collect their vehicle, or have their vehicle moved, however, to ensure operations of the police impound can continue unobstructed, vehicles left at the police impound may be impounded securely, resulting in having to recover the vehicle at a later time, albeit free of charge.
