- What is the Law Review Committee:
The Law Review Committee is a legislative assembly in the State of San Andreas that enables citizens and government agency's alike to present new or modify existing laws in the San Andreas Penal Code.
Similar to an American House of Representatives with elements of a UK House of Commons, the LRC has four appointed members one for each of PD, SD, MD, & DOC and four elected members chosen by the people of San Andreas. The body also has 2 delegates from the San Andreas Judicial Branch & San Andreas State Government. Finally, the body is chaired by the Speaker of the House.
What you are applying for:
Members of the public are applying to become elected into one of the four seats on the Law Review Committee, who will then be invited to introduce bills and resolutions to the Law Review Committee to be voted on and signed into law. Additionally, representatives maintain four key areas of responsibilities in order of priority;
1. To amend the Penal Code of San Andreas to better serve the Citizens of San Andreas.
2. To introduce Resolutions to amend parliamentary procedure, support an important event or date such as Pride Month, or recognize a fallen hero.
3. To introduce bylaws that affect specific geographic regions of the state such as Pier Parking.
4. To establish Sub-Committees to investigate Executive & Judicial Power.
