LSPD TED Assists Atomic Drift Challenge

Los Santos: In March, the Traffic Enforcement Division (TED) of the Los Santos Police Department worked with the Atomic Drift Team to conduct the Atomic Drift Challenge: Tandem Style event, organized by James Ortiz. TED Officers set up blocks and safety zones to allow drifters uninterrupted enjoyment of the event.

The Traffic Enforcement Division (TED) enforces traffic regulations while taking responsibility for closing roads during public events, including parades, legal street races, and other celebrations. TED helps to support event organizers, providing a safe framework for events to take place on public roads while ensuring that all laws and safety procedures are followed.

Police Officer III Lue Washington describes the dual role of TED in law enforcement activities and community outreach programs.

"The Traffic Enforcement Division prides itself not only in our day-to-day operations of keeping the streets safe from vehicle accidents and traffic violators. We also help out our community by closing down streets for events that are requested through the 'Road Closure Permit Requests' portion of the LSPD public section of the website! We love taking part in the special interests of our community and helping protect them to ensure a safe and fun environment. If you ever need our assistance, don't be afraid to reach out! The Traffic Enforcement Division is always looking for a chance to help our community and to further our goals of creating safer streets!"
