Los Santos Police Department
Los Santos, San Andreas

Los Santos: This Sunday evening, the trial of Police Commander Mike Luigi came to a definitive conclusion, with Police Commander Mike Luigi being found guilty on three counts of Predatory Lending and cleared on all other charges raised against him.
As per the Department's Policy on how we handle employees that are found to have committed certain misdemeanours, Police Commander Mike Luigi has been suspended from duty for the next forty eight hours as a result of this. The Department's position is that we have an unwavering duty to uphold all the Laws of San Andreas and that no individual is above it, senior or not.
That being said, at the same time, Commander Luigi has been an excellent servant for the City of Los Santos for a number of years now and we also believe where appropriate, in giving our employees second chances.
So, following the completion of both Commander Luigi's incarceration and his suspension, he will be returning to active police duty and as a Department, we will give him every support to move on from what has been a long, drawn out and stressful affair and help him continue to serve the City of Los Santos to the exemplary standard that he has demonstrated to date.
We would like to state on record, our thanks to his honorable Supreme Court Judge Maximilian Fitzgerald, for his delicate handling of this sensitive and high profile case, as well as both the prosecution and the defense, for their parts in bringing this trial to a satisfactory and legal conclusion.
We will be accepting no further public inquiries on this.
