Chief Elena Flores wrote: November has flown by as fast as it arrived, setting the stage for December to arrive with its early nights and cold mornings. December often brings a blanket of snow covering the City and County with its arrival, an advisory covering this will be published by the Media Relations Division in due time to ensure everyone keeps themselves and each other safe.

For the Los Santos Police Department, November has been a month of increased recruitment, with the return of several prominent individuals, the onboarding and training of many new recruit officers, and a general increase of interest in the Department. The Department has a positive outlook towards the final month of the year and the next year.

The largest Department event in the month of November happened only yesterday, that being the annual Los Santos Police Department award ceremony, which provided us an opportunity to publicly recognize and award the efforts and dedication of our officers to the City of Los Santos. I firmly believe that recognition and positive reinforcement are of significant importance in an occupation that often comes under public scrutiny, and the ceremony provides an opportunity to do this on a larger scale.

With that, I would like to thank all officers who were in attendance, even if you were not the recipient of an award at the ceremony, your service and dedication do not go unnoticed, and you are appreciated and recognized. To all who received an award or promotion, please consider this another round of congratulations. Moreover, I want to extend my gratitude to the Downtown Cab Company and Refresh Catering for their efforts in assisting us and providing their services to make this annual ceremonial event a reality once more.

Beyond that, Thanksgiving has now passed, and I hope that everyone has had an enjoyable period, whether that means celebration through the conventional family get-together with a shared meal, or their own celebration, whichever way that may have gone or taken shape. The beauty of modern holidays is that while tradition exists and often precedes many, it is no longer frowned upon for people to celebrate such events in their own way that brings them happiness.

November has also seen the return of former Captain Eleanor Quinn, previous Commanding Officer of the Gang and Narcotics Division, to the Los Santos Police Department, assuming the position of Police Lieutenant, Watch Commander, Mission Row Patrol Division. We are glad to have her and her expertise in law enforcement back and are hopeful of her impact on the next generation of officers.

On a final note, I wish to use this opportunity to express once more my gratitude for the unwavering dedication and commitment of not only our officers, but also the deputies of the Sheriff's Department, all government workers, and every citizen who has contributed to making the City of Los Santos a better, safer place.

The Los Santos Police Department is committed to ensuring and protecting the safety and security of citizens and tourists of Los Santos to the highest standards of law enforcement. We are always looking for passionate individuals to join our ranks. If you are inspired to make a difference in your community, consider a career with LSPD. The LSPD is hiring for the early morning and late night shifts and can be applied to through the online recruitment portal.
