Los Santos: After each month, supervisory personnel of the Los Santos Police Department conduct a thorough review of officer statistics within their divisions and nominate those who have shown significant dedication to the Department based on statistics such as duty hours, individual performances within divisions, administrative efforts, and above all, their embodiment of the values that the Department holds dear.
The title of "Officer of the Month" is distinguished and is awarded to officers who have demonstrated unwavering dedication, outstanding performance, and unrivaled professionalism in the line of duty, and who through their steadfast commitment to the communities and the pursuit of justice, embody the very essence of the core values of the Department, where excellence is not just another word, but the backbone on which our law enforcement philosophy is built.
This month, it is with great honor that we shine a light on, commend, and salute Police Officer III Carl Jacobs for his efforts, dedication, and achievements. Officer Jacobs has been voted Officer of the Month for October 2024.

Officer Jacobs was nominated by Lieutenant I Joseph Sanchez, who serves as his Commanding Officer within the Rockford Hills Patrol Division. Lieutenant Sanchez had the following to say in the nomination for Officer Jacobs.
Carl joined the Los Santos Police Department on the 6th of July this year following his Academy Graduation. It took Office Jacobs 21 days, or three weeks to complete the Field Training Program before being promoted to Police Officer I and assigned to the Rockford Hills Patrol Division under the command of Lieutenant Sanchez where he now resides. Following his upgrade to Police Officer II in early September Carl took on a number of roles within the Department, namely joining the Firearms Licensing Division and the Recruitment and Employment Division later.
His performance within the Field Training Division allowed him to progress even further - being upgraded to Police Officer III less than two months later from his promotion to Police Officer II, solidifying him as a senior Officer. Carl is also a SWAT Officer but his primary assignment remains on patrol.

Lieutenant I Joseph Sanchez, Commanding Officer, Rockford Hills Patrol Division wrote: Officer Carl Jacobs has been on shift for over 90 hours in October, while also completing more than 200 paperwork submissions. He also managed to complete one Field Training Session and one Field Practice Session, even with a scarce number of Cadets. His performance has gone above and beyond those of an average patrol officer, earning him his recent upgrade to Police Officer III, where he will continue his career, now as a senior and experienced officer within patrol.
