Los Santos, San Andreas

Los Santos: On May 1st, detectives of the Gang and Narcotics Division and officers of the Metropolitan Division's D Platoon conducted a large-scale operation in which they executed a search warrant on an apartment that they confirmed to be a base of operations for weapons trafficking, which resulted in large quantities of seized contraband.
Throughout the month of April, detectives of the Gang and Narcotics Division conducted an independent investigation into individuals and properties associated with the criminal organization known as "Only The Family", leading to the discovery of a penthouse apartment within the Diamond Casino resort being used as a base of operations by the organization for the purposes of firearms trafficking. A search warrant was acquired and executed.
Tactical elements and detective units established a large net for scene security, which saw the blockading of the entrance to the Diamond Casino, which was considered a potential temporary hindrance to the public but was deemed necessary for operational safety through risk assessment due to the location of the apartment, the general population that crosses through the area, and the affiliation of the owner.
Despite the quantity of recovered and seized contraband, officers were met with no resistance beyond the presence of spectators, and they were able to make a swift entry and exit.
Detectives seized the following contraband from the property:
The total sum of seizures has been estimated to be upwards of $2,400,000.
The numbers of seized contraband highlight the large-scale weapon trafficking operations carried out by criminal organizations and the firepower that they may possess, which further showcases the risks and challenges that law enforcement finds itself tackling.
The Los Santos Police Department recognizes and applauds the efforts of its investigators in the investigation and execution of this warrant. The dedication, efforts, and hard work of investigators have yielded impressive results, their unwavering commitment to serving and protecting the community is remarkable, and the steps they have taken have progressed their efforts of creating a safer city for everyone by taking weapons and narcotics off the streets.
