OVERVIEW

• The Los Santos Police Department's Firearms Licensing Division has been given sole responsibility for regulating personal firearms permits. A person interested in owning a personal firearm must meet the requirements outlined in this thread and fill in an application to the Firearms Licensing Division following the information outlined in this thread.

FORMATTING

• Date Format
  If in either application, it asks you to provide a date, you must format the date correctly, as DD/MMM/YYYY.
  • 01/JAN/2025 would be a correctly formatted date.
  • 01/01/2025 would be an incorrectly formatted date.
  Residence Format
  If you list your residence, it must be formatted correctly. (( The address must work with /setgps [number] [address] ))
  The number and the address for your property should be written on the door outside the property.
  For Apartments, it may be the other way around.
  • Apartment Example - Apartment 50 at 4 Integrity Way would be 50 4 Integrity Way, as 50 is the apartment number and the apartment complex address is 4 Integrity Way.
  • House Example - House Number 1 on Magellan Avenue would be 1 Magellan Avenue
  Phone Number Format
  This should be one complete number, with no spaces or hyphens.
  • 1234567 would be a correctly formatted number.
  • 123-4567 or 123 4567 would be an incorrectly formatted number.

OBTAINING A FIREARMS LICENSE

• There are multiple different Firearm Licenses you can obtain:
  • Standard Firearms License - the basic form for people who have never been issued a firearm license before and have a record clear of any relevant charges.
  • Firearms License (PRIORS) - a form for individuals who have reformed from past illicit behavior. This is for individuals who have either had their license revoked in the past or have previously been charged with disqualifying misdemeanors or felonies.
  • Firearms License (REVOKED) - a form for individuals who successfully appealed their charges that led to the firearms revocation through the Judicial Bureau process.

• Shotgun License - A form to apply for a Shotgun License.

If you feel that you are ready to apply for any of the above firearm licenses, follow these steps:

Steps to apply

1. Navigate to the LSPD Portal.
2. Click on the relevant application format under "Firearms Licensing."
3. Fill out each field with the correct information and click submit when you are done.
4. Click "YES" when the pop up appears asking "Do you want to copy the format and open the forums?" and paste (CTRL+V) in the open field.
5. Title your application as: Firstname Lastname [TYPE OF LICENSE], replacing the text in square brackets with the type of license you are applying for, i.e John Doe [STANDARD]
