- SECTION 3 - PREVIOUS WORK EXPERIENCE
3.1 Have you ever been employed by the LSEMS, DOC, LSPD, or LSSD? If so what rank and positions did you hold, how long ago was your employment and who was your direct supervisor?:- N/A
- Education: Bachelors in Political Science from the University of Liberty City, and partial education in a law degree from the same university (1 year). It has helped give me the beginnings of a legal foundation on which further learning can be built upon, and my bachelors has both shown me and given me the tools to conduct in-depth research and sift through questionable sources on any given topic.
Employment: Taxi Driver with DCC. This employment has given me much needed experience within the city, from interacting with customers to learning about the nooks and crannies of Los Santos.
Experiences: Multiple ridealongs with both EMS, LSPD and LSSD have allowed me to see first hand how they execute their duties, their procedures, and their respective roles in Los Santos. Aside from giving me a new-found appreciation for the hard work they do, it has given me a better ideas as to how they do it.
- SECTION 4 - LONG RESPONSE
4.1 Why do you want to be employed with the Judicial Branch? (75 WORDS):- For two main reasons. Firstly, I’d like to be able to complete the legal education I had started on before other unfortunate life circumstances interrupted that learning. And secondly because I want to serve the public good. I want to be able to have a job in which, after the day is done, I can say that I have made a meaningful and positive contribution to someone else’s day. I believe being employed with SAJB would allow me to do just that.
- I would consider my most valuable trait to be my ability to keep a cool head under pressure, and my communication skills. Having worked for DCC, I’ve had to deal with sometimes irate customers, and I have been able to keep my temper while remaining professional. I’ve also often been described as “approachable” by my other customers, being able to put them at ease and have pleasant conversations with them even when they have experienced rather severe misfortunes, such as losing their car.
- I’d love to see an expanded role for civil suits to flourish in the city as another avenue to resolve disputes in a legal manner, from small claims court all the way up to the equivalent of a supreme court. I believe in the future that the SAJB should permit civil suits. That would allow legal contracts to have an enforceable mechanism and help protect the rights of citizens not necessarily involved in illegal activities, as well as seek damages and compensation for harm caused.
- No.
- No.
- Yes, two speeding citations at the time of this application. I was a new arrival to the city when they occurred.
- My name is Hank Holt, and I originally hail from Liberty City. My father was a detective in the Vice division of the LCPD, and from an early age I always wanted to either be a cop or a lawyer and help protect those who couldn’t protect themselves. I was 24 and just finishing up my first year of my law degree when he was killed on duty, and I won’t be ashamed to say that due to the grief I experienced I decided to drop out. It took me a long time to overcome that grief, and when I finally was able to overcome it, I decided that I needed to wipe the canvas clean and start anew. That’s when I arrived in Los Santos.
Ever since then, I’ve worked hard to improve myself. I started by working the freelance jobs, such as money transport under the Union Depository, and eventually finding steady employment with DCC. I’ve gotten my BLS certification and used it multiple times to help save the lives of those injured in road accidents until EMS could arrive. Over the past 2 years I have been in Los Santos, I have worked hard to improve myself and to help those unable to help themselves. If that is not indicative of my work ethic, and my willingness to both improve myself and help those around me, then I’m not sure what would be.

- No alternate characters.
- No admin punishments.
- Not on GTA 5, but prior to coming over I used to RP on a High-RP server on Space Station 13. There were a lot of roles available there, and some of those included medics and police/law enforcement roles. In those servers, law enforcement had to follow certain Standard Operating Procedures, and had to enforce the law and keep order on an oftentimes chaotic situation that rapidly unfolded. Exactly what they got up to ran the whole spectrum: from talking down a possibly suicidal suspect to firefights involving multiple officers and suspects.
Within GTA 5 and Eclipse, I have been BLS certified and have provided first aid multiple times to traffic accident victims, as well as having been on ride alongs with both police and medical services. Aside from that, though, no other police/medical experience in eclipse.
- No. I can provide character references from within DCC, but otherwise no.

- I don't play on any other GTA 5 servers at this time.
- From an OOC perspective, I've genuinely found RP'd lawyers to be an interesting and fascinating addition to a criminal vs police dynamic found in servers like these. They help bring balance by preventing abuse of police powers IC'ly, which I always find organic and a great approach to help balance the police vs criminal dynamic. While I don't OOC'ly hold a law degree or study law, I have been interested in the field and have done some research of my own on common legal concepts. I'm not going to know everything, but I am willing to put in the time to both improve my own RP and my legalese because I find it interesting, and something I could sink countless hours into. That's why, from an OOC perspective, I think I would be a good fit.
