The Los Santos Police Department has completed a massive project merging the land registry with the vehicle and weapons permitting offices. Information has been merged successfully and the Los Santos Police will now have information pertaining to all homeowners residences within the state. This database will assist the Los Santos Police in their effort to lower the crime rates within our city. We would like to thank you for all your cooperation during this rather large endeavor that has gone underway.-

With the permission of the admin team, the LSPD can now find properties that are registered to a person or a company, this information will be stored in an internal database. The information will be blended with weapon permits, drivers licenses, and citizen’s ID cards. This allows the police to use the name that is posted in front of the house door to be able to identify a person's home or business.
The method of looking at somebody's door is only temporary and will not be the case once the LSPD gets actual house records in our Mobile Data Computer, along with satellite imaging of location. (Just like Google Maps.)
Random house searches for no apparent IC reason will not be tolerated in the Police Department as it goes against what we stand for, and it would also violate our OOC corruption rules in the Police Department.
Officers are expected to go into depth with the RP of looking up somebody's real estate information in the computer system. We're here to provide players with an enjoyable RP scene, not the other way around.
If a player doesn’t want the police to be able to look up their address it is suggested to let someone else own the property. An alternate method of stashing your drugs/weapons is to use a stash car, with the sole purpose of storing contraband.
If you wish to find out more information about the legitimacy of this please use a google search “Can the police find my address”, this will show you some real-world information concerning this.
Thank you for your understanding.
