Announcements
  • In addition to the numerous court cases handled throughout the months, the San Andreas Judicial Branch also implemented an updated compensation framework for defendants who receive not guilty verdicts. The revisions increased compensation for time served, doubled reimbursement for fines paid, introduced compensation for individuals who can demonstrate a loss of employment resulting from felony charges, and established a flat compensation amount for defendants found not guilty on all contested charges.

The Branch also conducted a review of existing criminal case procedures and implemented new discovery timeline standards aimed at reducing delays and improving case progression. For all future cases, the standard discovery period afforded to the prosecution has been reduced from 30 days to 15 days. Additionally, the prosecution will generally be limited to a single seven-day continuance for discovery-related matters absent extenuating circumstances. We hope to continue to keep reviewing and improving Judicial Branch processes to benefit all individuals in the State of San Andreas.

Employee of the Month

Employee of the Month
  • For the month of July, Branch Administrator Hope Kant would like to recognize Superior Court Judge Adam Patrone as Employee of the Month.
Branch Administrator Hope Kant wrote: "The San Andreas Judicial Branch is pleased to recognize Superior Court Judge Adam Patrone as Employee of the Month for May and June 2026.

Since his promotion from Magistrate Judge, Superior Court Judge Patrone has consistently demonstrated the qualities expected of a member of the Judicial Branch. His commitment to timely case management ensures that parties receive prompt responses and that matters before the Court continue to move efficiently through the judicial process.

Judge Patrone's rulings and verdicts are thoughtful, well-reasoned, and reflective of the care he puts into reviewing each matter before him. He approaches every case with professionalism and a genuine desire to reach fair and impartial outcomes.

One of Judge Patrone's greatest strengths is his willingness to accept feedback and learn from those around him. Rather than viewing criticism as a setback, he uses it as an opportunity to improve both his own performance and the overall effectiveness of the Judiciary Division. His openness to learning has made him a valuable member and an example for others within the branch."
