- D1. What motivates you to apply for the Los Santos County Sheriff's Department? How has your experience with law enforcement, specifically the Los Santos County Sheriff's Department been, prior to this application? (Minimum 200 words)
- I have always appreciated and admired those who put their lives on the line to protect our communities. After being a Sheriffs Deputy of the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office I feel like my skills and experience can be used in the Los Santos County Sheriff's Department now that I moved here. I am applying to the Los Santos County Sheriff's Department because I am deeply committed to serving my community and making it a safer place for all residents. I believe that the work of the police is essential for maintaining peace and order in society, and I am excited about the opportunity to make a positive impact as a member of the department. I am drawn to the mission and values of the Los Santos County Sheriff's Department, and I believe that my skills and experience align well with the needs of the organization. I am confident that I would be an asset to the department and would be able to make valuable contributions as a deputy. In addition to this I have a keen way of observing a situation, in the field or in a vocal conflict which helps me better understand both sides and easier see, if not the best, then a better resolution.
- D2. What practical skills have you acquired that could be beneficial to the department? What inspired you the most to apply? (Minimum 150 words)
- I was in the army and I reached the rank of Sergeant and I have been a Sheriffs Deputy of the Jefferson County Sheriffs Office for 6 years, I know how to handle myself in a pressure situation and I know how to correctly handle a firearm. During my time in the army I also learned the value of a hierarchy and how to follow it. My time in the JC Sheriffs Office was wasted away after I got caught up in my social life and was distracted at work, after a long time away from the force I have a better perspective and I am more determined to serve the public and show my worth in the LSSD. I have also maintained a high level of physical fitness and discipline, which can help prepare me for the physical demands of a career in the LSSD. As a solider I often worked in a squad or team to accomplish our missions and tasks, this has provided valuable experience in working with others to achieve common goals.
- D3. Where do you see yourself within the department if you were to be accepted[? Which division would you be interested in: investigations, patrol, special enforcement, highway enforcement, or administration? (Minimum 120 words).
- I would like to use my experience and skills to better understand and help my community. After moving to San Andreas I have gotten a taste of how the general public sees the police and have realised that there is a lot that can be improved. I would like to use my experience and skills to first create a good foundation with my community in Sandy Shores and then hopefully show that I could be an asset to the Los Santos County Sheriff's Department Investigations/Detectives Division one day. I believe I can be an asset in a lot of other divisions as well, but I believe my attention to detail lends itself best as a detective. However if I we're to be placed in a another division for whatever reason, or Detective was out of the question, then I would turn my full attention to that and adapt accordingly.
- D4. Please provide a brief biography of your life and your experiences in San Andreas. (Minimum 250 words).
- My name is Milko Tucker and I was born and raised in Texas, USA. The day I was born is also the day my mother died. This has made every birthday a bittersweet day. My dad tries to hide it but he always breaks down around when we eat dessert. Other than that I had a pretty good upbringing, with my father being a police officer in the Beaumont Police Department it was like having 20 uncles watching over me. At the age of 18 I entered the military and stayed there for 5 years. After that I went to a university for 3 years and got a bachelors degree in air traffic control. I heard there were many more opportunities in New York so I packed my bags, and flew over to the Big Apple. I arrived at JFK Airport and was greeted by an old friend, it was my fathers old partner back in Texas, Tommy. He was reassigned after he was lead on a big drug bust operation back in Beaumont. He is now on loan to the DEA and doing an operation in New York. He drove me to the hotel I was staying at and he wished me good luck on my job hunt, I thanked him and started walking towards the entrance of the hotel. There was a doorman standing near the entrance to the hotel but he was dressed in a big black coat and was hiding his face with a cap. I walked towards the door, expecting the doorman to open it, but when I got close enough he pulled out a knife and whispered to me: "Give me your wallet and cellphone." I was stunned for a second, but then he pushed the knife towards me and stopped just right so he didn't draw blood, but enough so that I could feel the knife against my stomach. I quickly searched my pockets and gave him my wallet and cellphone. He put the knife back in his pocket and started walking away, but just as he turned away from me he came to the realization that Tommy's car was still there, and Tommy was standing right in front of it with his hands around his gun, pointed at the man in the cap. "Freeze!" he yelled and the man stopped walking and looked up. "Take your hands out of your pockets, slowly and place them on the back of your head!" commanded Tommy. The man obliged, but as he put his right hand out of his pocket it was no longer holding a knife, it was holding a gun.
Seeing Tommy bleeding on the ground made my adrenalin pump and I was quickly filled with rage. Tommy didn't even have a chance to get a shot off before the armed man had put 2 bullets into his chest. I had always heard stories of how my father and Tommy were in great danger in the field but I had never seen it first hand. In the military you expect danger around every corner. Here, at home, it was the furthest thing from my mind.
After the brief shock of seeing Tommy hit the ground, and sirens starting to sound in the distance, I acted on instinct, I lunged at the man with the gun, who was now facing away from me. I wrestled the gun out of his hand and before I got to think about it I had shot him once in each leg and was standing over him. He screamed in pure agony but I couldn't hear it, all I saw was the man who had hurt my friend. As I raised my gun to finish the job I heard a faint "Milooo..." it was Tommy who was now bleeding out and barely alive "Don't do it Milo... don't become like him" I looked at Tommy, then back at the man who was now trying to crawl back towards the hotel doors. I hesitated, then threw the gun on the ground. In that moment had it not been for the pure heartedness of Tommy, my life would've been a lot different. That day, I realized my true calling: to protect and serve my community, to be a force for good, in a world that desperately needed it.
