Business and Property Bureau – Updated Disqualification Times
The Business and Property Bureau has implemented immediate changes to license disqualification periods, which are now live:
- 1 month disqualification is now 2 weeks
- 3 months disqualification is now 6 weeks
- 6 months disqualification is now 3 months
These changes aim to improve the State of San Andreas. By shortening disqualification periods, the Bureau can address violations more promptly. This ensures that non-compliant business owners are held accountable sooner, strengthening compliance across all licensed businesses and supporting a fair, active, and thriving business environment.
What are Business Licenses?
The State of San Andreas requires the owner to register the business with the Business and Property Bureau before obtaining a license. Therefore, the business owner cannot apply for business licenses until the business is fully registered and has a Business Registration Certificate. To complete a business registration, please apply to the Business Registration Desk.
A business license grants a business the right to sell goods and/or services of a specific type in an official, commercial capacity. Licensed businesses must meet all requirements stated by each license they obtain and operate without violations.
Each license carries a set of potential violations, and the consequences of committing a breach depend on the severity. Therefore, all violations are kept on record with business licensing information, as repeated violations can lead to more severe consequences. If a business commits repeated or severe offences, the business may be subject to termination, the State of San Andreas may seize any business assets, and the business owner will not be eligible to own, register, or license another business for the updated disqualification periods listed above.
You can view the full updated policy and details here.
These changes are effective immediately. Stay compliant and operate responsibly.
