Los Santos: After each month, supervisory personnel of the Los Santos Police Department conduct a thorough review of officer statistics within their divisions and nominate those who have shown significant dedication to the Department based on statistics such as duty hours, individual performances within divisions, administrative efforts, and above all, their embodiment of the values that the Department holds dear.
The title of "Officer of the Month" is distinguished and is awarded to officers who have demonstrated unwavering dedication, outstanding performance, and unrivaled professionalism in the line of duty, and who through their steadfast commitment to the communities and the pursuit of justice, embody the very essence of the core values of the Department, where excellence is not just another word, but the backbone on which our law enforcement philosophy is built.
This month, it is with great honor that we shine a light on, commend, and salute Police Officer II Max Finnegan for his efforts, dedication, and achievements. Officer Finnegan has been voted Officer of the Month for April 2025.

Officer Finnegan was nominated by Lieutenant I Joseph Sanchez, who served as his Commanding Officer within the Rockford Hills Patrol Division at the time. Lieutenant Sanchez had the following to say about Officer Finnegan:
On the 8th of April 2025, Officer Finnegan enrolled in the Metropolitan D-Platoon, SWAT Officer Training Program. Concluding his training on the 5th of May 2025. Officer Finnegan was reassigned to the Metropolitan Divisions D-Platoon on the very same day. Today, Officer Finnegan serves as a SWAT officer in the D-Platoon, with secondary assignments as a Field Training Officer and Traffic Enforcement Officer.
The Department finds it important to acknowledge the incredible efforts and Unyielding dedication of our officers amidst their daily challenges and responsibilities. Please join us in congratulating Officer Finnegan on his outstanding dedication and exemplary service to the Los Santos Police Department.

April 2025 - Officer of the Month

Officer Finnegan was nominated by Lieutenant I Joseph Sanchez, who served as his Commanding Officer within the Rockford Hills Patrol Division at the time. Lieutenant Sanchez had the following to say about Officer Finnegan:
Officer Finnegan only recently graduated from the Los Santos Police Academy on February 15th 2025, enrolling in the Department's Field Training Program. Officer Finnegan did not waste any time getting to work, completing his first training the same day. This was an indication of the effort and consistency the Department was to expect of Officer Finnegan. Officer Finnegan completed his training at an incredible speed, passing the Field Training Program only 11 days after his graduation, getting his promotion to Police Officer I on the 8th of March 2025. Following Officer Finnegan's promotion to Police Officer I, he was assigned to the Rockford Hills Patrol Division, acting as a Patrol Officer in the General Operations Bureau. Officer Finnegan's remarkable dedication to the Department earned him an upgrade to Police Officer II on the 7th of April 2025.Lieutenant I Joseph Sanchez, Commanding Officer, Rockford Hills Patrol Division wrote: Officer Max Finnegan has been going above and beyond in his duties, not only in April, but for his entire career. Since he joined the Department, Officer Finnegan has been an absolute powerhouse, averaging 75 hours each week for the past 9 weeks, giving him over 220 hours on duty so far in April, still with over a week left to go before the month is over. On top of that, he has completed 212 paperwork submissions and has had an outstanding presence in the field, gladly helping his fellow officers and the citizens of Los Santos. Rockford is proud to be putting forward Officer Finnegan for this month's award.
