Letter From the Governor

Emily Whitehorse wrote: Happy New Years and welcome to the year 2026!
Before mentioning anything else further, I want to dedicate a large portion of this statement to Director Lester Conway, head of the Government Security Bureau, who was recently found dead after going missing and his body being recovered. While I am unable to comment on the circumstances, I do want to comment on how his passing has affected SASG. Director Conway had only recently achieved the title of longest serving Director bureau, when his life was taken from him.
Director Conway alongside his Deputy Director worked tirelessly to build the bureau into one of the strongest security apparatuses for the state government. While some on social media have taken his passing as a time to ridicule the imperfect nature of the Director, I think its more important to focus on what he did best. Conway was a strong advocate for his bureau, with many agents admiring the energy he brought and enthusiasm for GSBs mission. His passing was felt not only by the agents he lead, but also the wider San Andreas community who got to experience his unique personality and the energy he shared for the job. I hope that for his sake, whatever happened he may now rest in eternal peace.
That being said, the State Government is aware of the recent release of a video by Cobb Blog detailing actions undertaken by the Director under prior gubernatorial leadership, and the San Andreas State Government is actively looking into the details alleged in the video, as well as reviewing possible criminal investigations that will need to be undertaken. A process has already begun to find out what was known at the time, and who may be associated with the actions described.
Thankfully, the start of a new year is also the start of new beginnings and transformations, and that will be one of the key focuses of my administration moving into 2026. I look forward to all we as a collective community will be able to achieve this year.
May god bless all our civil servants, first responders, and civilian support staff, and may god bless San Andreas.
Remembering Director Conway
Rest In Peace Director Conway

We encourage everyone to take a moment to read the full statement, which can be found here. As we move forward together, we remember Director Conway with respect and gratitude.
May he rest in peace.

End of an Era at the San Andreas Department of Corrections
Recognizing the Leadership of Koutney Lafluer, Katie Schnieder, and Issei Schnieder

We extend our sincere gratitude to Warden Koutney Lafluer, Katie Schnieder, and Issei Schnieder as they step down from their warden roles at SADOC, closing a chapter defined by dedication, compassion, and belief in people. On February 2nd 2022, Kourtney LaFleur took over as Warden following the resignation of Solomon Cobb, and for the next three years, she led Bolingbroke Penitentiary and SADOC with integrity and heart, accumulating over 4649.61 hours of unwavering service that will forever reflect her commitment. Katie Schnieder was at SADOC for a long time and truly became the heartbeat of the department, championing the human resources side of SADOC and earning the respect and admiration of everyone who worked with her. Many of us at SASG started our careers at SADOC, including Director Dan Endo himself, who turned his life around working under the high command team whose trust and belief in reformation will always be remembered and have helped so many across our community. From everyone at GOV, thank you for everything you have given, and we wish you the very best in everything you LIKE do next.

Employee of the Month - December 2025

Abdullah Fonto - #27889
SASG Employee of the Month: December 2025
Since joining the SAAA bureau in October, Abdullah has quickly become a familiar and friendly face around City Hall. Balancing his time between working as a mechanic at Bayview and serving as a medic with LSEMS, he consistently demonstrates a strong work ethic and a positive attitude. Always willing to step in and help wherever needed, he’s made a meaningful impact in a short amount of time. This final Employee of the Month award is a well-earned recognition of the dedication he brings to everything he does. Here's what his director has to share about him:

Scottie Cross wrote:Abdullah Fonto has quickly adapted to his work here at SAAA. It is no surprise with his background. He has been very busy stepping up with our projects such as a new HALO project we have been working on, as well as revamping the mechanic course. All while under this workload he is responding to applicants, and hosting courses. Without him this department would not be what it is today. He is a valued employee.
Event Highlights of the Month: Weazel Network Last Man Standing & Sherrif Departments Winter Wonderland Fair!
WENN Santas Workshop Last Man Standing
We are highlighting the Weazel Network Last Man Standing event as a look back at how well the entire experience came together and how smoothly it ran from start to finish. The event delivered strong engagement and an exciting atmosphere that made it a standout moment. Huge shoutout to the Weazel building team for creating such an immersive property that truly elevated the event and brought the vision to life. Credit to the entire Weazel team for their coordination and effort, and a special shoutout to the Weazel media team for capturing some great moments that we are sharing below. Keep throwing amazing events, and you too can be featured as we continue to highlight standout experiences across the city.
The Weazel event kicked off with a long line of eager participants as everyone was assigned their teams and guided to their respective corners, standing ready for the start. Once the battle began, the drop was immediate and intense, with players quickly making tactical decisions on how to survive the longest, some claiming the high ground while others charged in swinging. As always, Weazel continued to push the envelope with creative and engaging experiences across San Andreas, even highlighting that rentable billboards are now part of their expanding offerings. Huge shoutout to Emily Corelle for the impressive build and the event itself, and to Marco for allowing these events to take place. We are excited to see where Weazel takes their events next year and how they continue to raise the bar.

Capturing the Magic of Citywide Holiday Decorations
Lights Traditions and Citywide Cheer

The holidays are officially in full swing!
We had an amazing time travelling around the city to capture photos of the Christmas and holiday decorations across some of our main buildings. Every stop brought something new, from classic twinkling lights and wreaths to creative displays that truly show the spirit and personality of each space.
One of the best parts of the season is seeing how traditions come to life through decoration. Christmas decorations often feature lights, trees, and greenery as symbols of warmth, hope, and togetherness. Many holiday displays also reflect themes of generosity, celebration, and community, values that bring people closer during this time of year.
We genuinely love driving around the city during the holidays. There is something special about seeing all the different styles, colours, and ideas come together. No two buildings look the same, and each display adds its own touch of joy to the streets. It reminds us how creative and festive our community can be and how much effort goes into making the season feel welcoming for everyone.
We are excited to keep exploring, sharing these moments, and enjoying the magic that fills the city during the holidays. There is nothing quite like seeing the city light up and feeling that unmistakable holiday cheer all around.
